Visited here with family members and kids recently. Having ordered our food just before 6pm , it wasn't until 7pm when the food actually arrived on our table. However when it did arrive the dishes were of high quality. I shared a Karahi Keema and Lamb on the bone curry with my Son. Both dishes were excellent with the lamb being tender and fresh.
I noticed my daughters dish of Chicken Tikka Sizzler had Red food colouring on the Chicken, this was surprising considering the place prides itself on authenticity. Food colourings in this type of food are unnecessary and not good for health. However it did taste good.
Overall a lovely meal. A bit slow service though.

Absolutely loved this place what you get food wise is an incredible experience of various foods Indian style the amount ordered that I had was so much I had to take the rest home for later. The lamb dish I had the meat was so tender the nan bread deliciously the massala chips, onion bargies out of this world and the fact that they do not serve alcohol but you can bring your own does not matter soft drinks are provided 🌹 I could not complain about anything in this place I will surely be returning back with friends great for a night out ❤️ nothing was to much via the staff who were polite and took time to describe each dish and what was in each dish.
Monday Curry Club was great - fresh, tasty and excellent value. Quite good choice for veggies. Staff were accommodating and restaurant was pleasantly warm on a cold night.
I have to say Cafe Indus is an absolute hidden gem within Sheffield! Went down for the much anticipated ‘Monday Curry Club’ with me and my work buddies. We’re talking a poppadom appetiser, a cute but tasty lil starter, a gorgeous curry with rice and a naan. Just when you think you’ve had your lot and you’re reasonably satisfied they bring out a dessert to comsolidate the meal. All for £13.99 yeah i said it £13.99, once more £13.99!! What more do you want on a Monday?! You’re getting a plethora of food items of the perfect quantity, it’s delicious and great value! Sign me up every week, in fact i am see you there soon!!
Exceptional. Six of us ate here for my birthday. All six dishes were superb. Best curry house in Sheffield. Family run and keeping it really. HIGHLY recommend.
Always order takeaway but will definitely eat in next time. The food is always amazing, it’s hard to get good south Asian food in Sheffield and this and Maveli are the only place I’ll eat from. Delicious.
Such a lovely place! Intimate,cosy and inviting! The food is delicious and authentic, made with love! the staff are so attentive, polite,thoughtful and warming I didn’t want to leave! 10/10 can’t wait to go back lots!
You could tell the other customers were people that go back again and again which speaks volumes to me when it comes to dining out! It may seem like a cafe but it’s definitely top notch! Well done Cafe Indus and nice to meet the two young gentleman Friday evening, they’re a credit to you!
We had a lovely evening here, where we had the vegetable biryani, dal, and aubergine curry. Every dish was tasty and good quality. Service was friendly. Good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Recommended.
Went to try their Monday nigh curry night for £13.99. Very impressed, popadoms, starter, curry, rice, bread and kulfi. The food was excellent as well as the service. Will be back
