This was my 3rd visit in 6 years to the leopold. After not liking the location of the first room they changed to a more suitable room. The room was lovely light and airy even for a top floor room. It had lots of lovely extra touches. The only disappointing thing I noticed was that the ipod dock station had not been updated to accommodate lightning connection- still had old style 30 pin and I loved the idea of having breakfast in my room with no extra room service charges. The choice of complimentary drinks were excellent and the bar staff in the day were more than accommodating in bringing drinks up and ice buckets. When staying in Sheffield this will always be my base. Excellent location straight on tram route.

Me and my daughter had afternoon tea here , can not fault it. The bar staff and the waiting staff were all first class, the food was absolutely delicious. We both felt like we had a four course meal because we were so full after it !I would definitely recommend this.

Just had my baby shower here. 26 guests and not one person could fault the food or service. Everyone we dealt with was extremely helpful. 1 gluten free meal was forgotten but this was soon rectified by the kitchen and thoroughly enjoyed. only thing is the room get very hot and could do with air con

We held our wedding here a few weeks ago and the staff made everything so incredibly special for us and our guests, it’s a beautiful hotel with the friendliest staff. Nothing is too much trouble, they really do go above and beyond to make your event / stay a fantastic one.

I come here fairly regularly for business meetings with my fellow managers. It is a restful place, the staff are really nice & the rooms are spot on. Formerly a boys school & there are many b&w photographic reminders of its history which does add to its appeal. It is situated close to a number of restaurants and pubs too - if you like that sort of thing as much as I do 🙂

I would like to say big thanks to Angus and Robin on reception for being so accommodating and welcoming. On arrival it became clear that I booked the wrong date! I was a little lost at this moment but they reassured me that it happens and it’s not a big deal and then just took care of everything. Angus moved the dates for me and the only thing I needed is do is to press “confirm” on my mobile. Robin made me a great G&T. :) After this life was completely back on truck. It worth mentioning that team pays attention to guest booking requests. I asked for two duvets and indeed there were two duvets in my room on arrival, even though they had very little time to prepare the room. The restaurant serves food till late and is quite cosy with a good selection of drinks. Our room was clean, spacious and comfy. The building is beautiful with fascinating history, it’s a shame we didn’t stay long enough to explorer it. Overall we had a great stay.

Excellent hotel right in the middle of Sheffield. Close to restaurants, bars and other amenities. The hotel staff were lovely, very accommodating and friendly. We had bed and breakfast and the breakfast was fabulous; everything you could want continental and full English. The rooms were very clean and very warm - a tad warm for us but we opened the window. We were sent information on where to park and were given a discount from the hotel which was fantastic. We didn't stay in the hotel for evening meal so cannot comment on that. Would definitely stay here again.

Came down from Manchester to go see a live performance at Sheffield city hall. Perfect place if you're visiting around Central Sheffield. Walking distance to all the bars and there's a bar inside the hotel so have a drink or 2 before leaving for the night out and on the way bk to the hotel you can wobble out of a club or pub and fall into a hotel bedroom. We had a nice and quite nights stay over with a good breakfast in the morning Would recommend a room at the front of the building as everything seems to be around the back. Would visit again đź’Ż.

Can not fault this hotel at all. Had a lovely staff. It was clean and well maintained, staff were very friendly. Was heading to the arena for a concert and you can catch the tram literally round the corner. Great location, plenty of bars and shops around the hotel. Will definitely be staying here again. 5/5

Amazing service, nothing too much trouble. Lovely room, with all the you could need. One down side is we could not open a window in the room. Thanks for making our wedding day special.

This is a lovely hotel, interestingly converted from a technical college, with photos reflecting its history. It was clean, warm and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good. The location is perfect - right in the city centre, with nearby bus and tram stops for venturing further afield. We would definitely recommend it.

It’s a relaxed hotel handy for the centre& not far from the station. The building is a large old school with loads of character and modern conveniences. The bar looks out over a quiet and attractive square with a number of food outlets so you don’t have to go far for a choice of eateries. Two very minor issues were that the en suite lock didn’t work & one other bathroom fitting was a little loose. But the staff were friendly and courteous and the room comfortable.

Stayed two nights for a show in Sheffield. Great location for bars and restaurants. Reception staff extremely polite and very welcoming. Rooms were spacious and warm. The staff at breakfast were just as friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great too. The housekeeping staff were equally polite and helpful. All in all 11 out of 10 🙏

Lovely old looking hotel wish an amazing history. Lack of parking was a pain and trying to find somewhere to park a disabled van wasn't easy. Side lift to get people in was a pain especially having a table at the top. Rooms adequate and all that u you. Food was OK however no tomato sauce for our stay?

Very nice room. well kept. good amenities. The parking discounted is a 7 minute walk away. Had my luggage and the pavements were very slippery so took a bit longer. Great location loads of restaurants around. Got a parking ticket as i was in the loading bay for 5 minutes more than allotted so watch out for that.

Stopped over at the Leopold for a works Christmas party. My room was very nice, with a comfortable bed, and an excellent shower! Also had the breakfast which was good quality. Only downside was that my room overlooked a wall, but location made up for this.

This is actually on Leopold Square, which is very much a happening place to be in Sheffield, and the bed is one of the comfiest we've slept on for quite some time 👍🏻 Breakfast was good as well. No complaints at all.

We stayed here 26th November to visit our daughter for her Birthday. Ella was fantastic, she was so welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. The room we had was wonderful too. We had the deal with food included, I was a bit dubious what it would be like but we all ate in the bar lounge area and the food was delicious too. We will definitely be coming back again to stay here. Don't hesitate this Hotel is superb with restaurants/ shops right on the doorstep.

What an amazing hotel. Great location for the city centre, short walk to the Luxe cinema, to the Crucible, to the Lyceum. Room clean and warm. Staff amazing. Breakfast plentiful and hot. What more could you want. Very nice. Strongly recommend you book local restaurants on a Saturday night as they were fully booked at 5.30pm and we couldn't do any walk-ins!

What a bargain! Only £104 to stay a night - we stayed Friday. The room was lovely, we received a friendly welcome and check in/out was totally painless. We collapsed into bed after an incredible meal at Grazie across the road. Interesting history - Joe Cocker went to school in this building before it was transformed into a hotel 🙂 the chilled cans of water in the mini fridge were a lovely touch. Thank you, guys 🙏

Stayed overnight with my sister to see a show in Sheffield. Got in early as room ready. Staff were very pleasant and helpful from reception to cleaners. Hotel was lovely. Room spacious and clean. Had a great night's sleep. Breakfast buffet style but all you could ask for continental and hot food. Would recommend and look forward to staying again.
