Great bar opposite the lyceum theatre. Really reasonable drinks and love that it has canvas from different theater shows including everybody's talking about Jamie. Worth going before a show.

Exceptionally good food, and excellent service, albeit slow.

Fantastic service and excellent food. We were looking for somewhere to eat that offered shelter on a rainy day (not yet allowed inside) and gluten free options for lunch. We hadn't booked and we just happened to be passing when we asked if they had space. The staff were extremely accommodating; asking the chef what exactly was gluten free and they went out to get GF bread for us. The food was delicious, we can't stop raving about their chips! But for us we were so just impressed at the staff being friendly and accommodating. 100% coming here again.

Limited menu but very nice burger. Juicy. Space outside has a good view of the square. Beer choice limited, but pint of Brooklyn was excellent. Nothing much to fault. Great for theatre goers

Had lunch here today with a friend on our way to see a ballet at The Lyceum Theatre. Lovely, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
As it was lunchtime it was a Tapas menu which meant I had a little difficultly in deciding what I could eat due to certain ingredients. I needn't have worried as the endlessly patient and understanding waitress fully explained the dishes and went to check with the chef about ones she wasn't sure of. Chef even agreed to cook one dish without gluten coating for me!
Unfortunately, there was a slight mix up on timing in the kitchen (it waswa very busy period) as our dishes came out in bits and bobs instead of all together and our med veg and roasted cauliflower were very delayed. HOWEVER, the staff were instantly on top of it and apologetic, getting it sorted as quickly as they could. The manager came over to apologise in person and with no expectation from my friend or me who were fine about the slight delay, offered us a free drink each and said he would reduce our bill because of it. In fact he halved our entire bill!
All of the food was beautiful, freshly cooked and simply perfect. And on this occasion it was certainly true that good things come to those who wait as the vegetables and roasted cauliflower were divine!
I would highly recommend this as a lovely place to visit either before off after a show at The Lyceum or Crucible. You won't regret it.

A pleasent place to eat during the day and a vibrant place to drink in the evening especially after the shows have close in the adjacent Theatres. Friendly staff and reasonably priced food and drinks. Always part of our theatre experience.

Attended a private function here on Saturday 14th March 2020. The venue was perfect, the buffet was amazing, all the friendly staff were fabulous. Can’t recommend this place enough, honestly made our day. Thank you all xxx

I have never visited this place before, however I walked in at about 3-45pm and was the only customer/client in the establishment.
Lonely perhaps? Not at all!
The young lass behind the bar was very pleasant and engaging, a senior member of staff was similar.
The unfortunate lack of customers gave a clear opportunity to view the premises without incumberance, and what I viewed was a spotlessly clean premises, a well stocked bar, very few empty spaces in the bottle fridges etc.
A very small comment, the gents restroom waslooking a tad tired, and a coat of paint would not go amiss, along with minor maintenance issues.
That being said, the gents restroom was merely a reflection of the front of house!
I believe the house is an eaterie, and their business model is based upon trade from the Crucible/Lyceum theatres, an absolute shame, this is a venue that is overlooked.
If you are looking for a quiet place for perhaps a businees meeting, or just a sociable glass of something in lovely surroundings, Crucible Corner is the place to go.
I cannot recall expounding upon a place such as this,it obviously had an impact.

Love this place! We had a few gins after visiting the lyceum theatre. It was great relaxing in the warm atmosphere while the rain was hammering it down outside.

I like crucible Corner because usually you can get a drink & seat with no problems, quick & easy. Other bars around that area it can take an age to get served. Good place to catch up with friends & chat. Obviously v. v. handy for both theaters.

Roomy, light with large windows on three sides makes it a lively place. This together with friendly staff made the visit there a pleasant experience.

Nice bar with decent food and drink. Lovely location on Tudor Square. Very handy for theatre goers to the Crucible and Lyceum which are also located on Tudor Square.

Lovely food, atmosphere and friendly polite and helpful staff.
Went for my 30th never been before but heard good things about this little place I’d say it’s kind of a hidden gem to those who don’t visit the crucible itself.
Would highly recommend and always seems to be something for everyone on the menu including the specials!
Thank you for the lovely evening!

I have been to Crucible Corner on a few occasions and while the staff are always helpful ,I must say the menu is very limited and I feel does deserve to be looked at. Sandwiches are only allowed to be ordered up to 4pm and while I understand demand may be low, if the ingredients are available ,these should still be allowed to be ordered. The meals, for me,pre-show are too large but as it is convenient, we tend to use it. They will gladly let you order side dishes which I do but the salad is mainly green and doesn't come with tomatoes so it's difficult for me to manage it all. Lunch time menu is more flexible. I don't know why the menu changes at night time. It would be nice to have a selection labelled pre show snacks and provide jacket potatoes, fish bites etc. However ,as I say, the staff are always helpful and I have to be honest and say that, I don't find any city Centre restaurant particularly up my street as most of them are pretty much the same regarding choice and price except for say, Pizza Express. Too much assumption that people have lots of money to spend and want what I refer to as la Di da food.
I have been in for a cup of tea after shows and that is very good I must say and the TV and free papers a definite plus.

Disgusting service. Ageist aswell. Only cater for older clientel.. never approached for a menu or drinks whereas everyone else was, find it quite insulting.. were wanting to eat until that point but was disgusting.

Limited menu food cooked to order. Food very nice quite large portions. Friendly staff. If you are eating prior to the theatre they get your meal to you with time to spare. Although the menu is limited the food is very nice and served hot.

Advertising Snooker Breakfasts and opening early to cater for the Crucible goers. Unbelievably slow. We arrived at 9.10 am.We were only having coffee and toast for one but still took over 20 mins to arrive. The table next to us arrived before us and were just being served their breakfast at 9.45am. Not really handy to get to the snooker. It's great they are opening for breakfast but they need to speed up. It wasn't busy and there were at least 3 members of staff.

Fantastic food, and great prices! Lovely staff, lots of smiles and couldn't do enough for you. It's definitely a place I'll be going back to if I'm ever in Sheffield again!

Visited today after a matinee performance at The Crucible. Staff and service were great. Food was lovely too. Highly recommend. Will visit again.

Choose because it was near to the theatre. Food was very good. Staff chatted among themselves and forgot to bring the dessert menu. On paying and mentioning this, we just got the thumbs up. Sheffield has plenty of eating places, so we won't be rushing back.

Excellent place for lunch. This bar/restaurant is gem in the haystack, food is excellent, services are attentive and price is moderate. Don't be shy to try the "Slate fare" and plenty of food for two and adding an order of chip for ONE pound only. Can't wait for my next visit to UK
Louise
Really pleasant surprise at crucible corner, went with boyfriend and parents and all had fantastic food, I particularly enjoyed the seabass, and the steak ordered was done to perfection, obvious that the chef had put a lot of effort into our meals. Only down point was that, as this is a theatre aimed bar, it completely emptied at 7.30 (which we should have expected!), so we were the only diners!

Great Little Place. A great little bar that has a relaxed atmosphere and serves good quality staples such as omelets and steaks. Its an ideal place eat informally, or simply meet up for a beer or coffee. Four of us ate their on Saturday afternoon having chilli, veg chilli, steak, omelet, wine and coffees. The staff were really attentive and helpful, the food was excellent, and the cost very reasonable.
