Had several meals here recently and have found out that there is a new chef! Breakfasts are hearty and filling, fish & chips are to die for, homemade pies and quiches are delicious. There is always a hearty soup on the menu and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Good choice of food and drinks plus there’s also the opportunity for a tipple. Definitely worth a visit as now the cafe is both upstairs and downstairs, with outside seating for doggie walkers/smokers!
Had the best fish fingers sandwich here today, 3 beer battered fish fingers on a granary roll, it was gorgeous
The perfect bike stop. Plenty of space to store bikes around the back. Outdoor seating, front and back, as well as indoor.
I just had coffee and cake but the menu looked excellent.
I absolutely love this place, free wifi, very friendly and efficient staff and great coffee and cake. Very relaxing atmosphere and beautiful surroundings (Bradfield Village) I have taken family and friends and everyone loves it here. Would definately recommend 😊
Being a retired biker I get to visit plenty of cafe,s and The Schoolrooms has quickly become a regular stop off point when visiting The Peak District.
We called in yesterday and as always staff are really pleasant and accomodating my fellow biker had salted caramel cake and described it as"delicious" my Latte as always perfect.
Prices are no more expensive than any other cafe we visit.
All in all a lovely place look forward to calling again soon.
Love visiting the Schoolrooms. Food is delicious and fairly priced. Service is good and staff are friendly and helpful. However, if I may make one small constructive criticism. The lovely bright young staff employed just need their customer service skills honing. For instance, if an order for 10 drinks is taken. Pay attention to what the customers are ordering so that when the order is brought out, it's correct. Also, they do need to speed it up a bit. All the staff are delightful but did feel as though some of them were going around in a bit of a daze. Other than those observations, fabulous.
Lovely tea room nice atmosphere and a great location. I had a very nice light fruit scone and a cappuccino sat in their garden at the rear of the shop looking over the stream in the bottom. Bliss.
My family and I had a lovely time at The Schoolrooms on Sunday 10th September 2023. The food and drinks are worth what you pay for - they were delicious! Really good atmosphere, plus the staff were very helpful and served us in good time. It was our first visit, too. We look forward to coming back soon! 😊
First time visiting the tearooms, unfortunately it was an hour and a half wait on the food so we didn't bother even though we were very hungry. Opted for a pint of Bradfield's instead and sat outside. Would like to return to try the food. Looked like a lovely place. Had kids play area outside.
Stopped for lunch, great location lovely scenery all around. We had a coffee, Glazed Ham Sandwich and Halloumi Salad which was amazing. Even though it was lunchtime we didn't have to wait long for the food. Friendly and helpful staff. We have visited a few times now, still a great place to visit.
Very nice restaurant/cafe with delicious food.
Fish and chips were a tad oily but it was great portion size.
Had a coffee and breakfast outside in the sun. Great food, piping hot coffee and friendly service. With the addition of the evening brasserie, money has been spent on the site in a tasteful manner and it is a very attractive setting.
The food prices are top end for Sheffield, but I can accept that if the quality is very good too, which it is.
We will return.
