Now me and my mate went there and cannot find anything wrong with the place the food and the service prices are reasonable and the cakes well as a baker myself got to say they beat me when it comes to the presentation, flavours,so much to choose from the portions are spectacular no other words for this little place tucked away but has people coming in just for the smells alone. Yes we will be returning back there soon as we can I would also like to thank the staff for their hard work and making sure our experience was second to none 💖💖

Really nice afternoon tea!!! This little cafe is located at the back of the Emporium antiques building. A basic and minimalist cafe with adequate seating. There is a small car park in addition to on street parking. We bought a Groupon for a traditional afternoon tea for 2. The mother and daughter duo who operate this cafe were friendly and accommodating from our arrival. With it being 3pm there were not many people there and we soon had the place to ourselves. They were very good at adjusting the the sandwiches to our requirements to make sure we had an enjoyable experience. The selection of sandwiches were nice, the bread fresh and soft. The cakes and scones are homemade on site by these nice ladies who we had a few conversations with. I prefer the scones without currents but they were still quite decent, accompanied with clotted cream and strawberry jam. We had a large pot of tea to share and we were regularly asked if we needed anything and to make sure it was all okay. We had to take the cakes with us which we were quite happy about. Looking forward to enjoying those later! Overall a very pleasant experience and would go back! We enjoyed our afternoon tea and recommend people to try this at £18 for 2 people.

Myself and partner went with our daughter today for food and cake. The food was delicious but what really made the day was the outstanding service. The staff here are amazing lovely people. We will be back and I recommend this place to all!

Booked a luxury afternoon tea and unfortunately had to leave early, we were sold straight away by the first course. Definitely returning, the sausage rolls are absolutely divine.

One of my favourite places for afternoon tea. The food is absolutely incredible. Jenny is fantastic at catering to different dietary requirements. She prepared a lovely GF afternoon tea alongside a vegetarian one + several regular ones. Everyone was happy with the food, so much variety. We couldn’t decide what we liked best by the end. The kids meals were fabulous as well. I highly recommend this place for both dine in and take-away. It’s served us brilliantly so far, I can’t wait to go again. Friendly atmosphere, lovely staff and delicious food.

We came to the Cosy Tea Room for the Cheese Lovers Themed Afternoon Tea. Wow it was delicious. Everything had a lovely homemade taste even down to the home made cordial which was a lovely touch. We wasn't at all rushed in our time spent there even though they were so busy. It was incredibly filling and we have to bring our cake home. Such a lovely afternoon.

The ladies are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food was exceptional, the ham is to die for. The only way to describe the lemon drizzle scone with homemade curd is OMG. It was our first time visiting but what a gem of a place.
