I feel I must review shaws as I have done in the past.in recent times I have said its the best but over the recent times it has been sold and there are new owners running it still under the name shaws I have given this place three goes now and that's it I won't be going back really poor now so after going there for many years disappointingly that's me done

Not local to the area, called in for fish n chips, service very good , food even better great chips , nice white fish, and the batter was crisp, and tasty, definitely new chippy for when we're camping next time

Enjoyed my fish n chips last night.. portion was plentiful.. I ordered fish n chips, a fish cake (for the dog), a bag of scraps and a can of pop all for just over a tenner.. good value in this day and age

With the new owners now firmly settled in my opinion is that the fish & chips are now better than ever. The batter is lighter & the small fish is larger than under the previous owners. People are always wary when someone new comes in and takes over an established business. Certainly no worries here. Keep up the great work.
