Very busy at the weekends but a good system for ordering and collecting your food and drink. A nice spot to start or finish your walk and a convenient meeting place. Try the sausage roles they are gorgeous! Good selection of hot drinks and ice creams too. Breakfast sandwiches are not the cheapest but they are tasty!
Brilliant place! We usually go there for the chips, which are incredible! We had some waffles this time as well and they were equally as good. Perfect place before , mid or after a walk. Lovely scenery.
Visited today with my two young children. My youngest is dairy free and there were plenty of savory and sweet options to choose from. The staff were incredibly helpful and served us inside as we weren't having ice-cream. This meant we didn't need to join the massive queue at the window hatch. Absolutely delicious cakes and you couldn't tell the dairy free chocolate cake was dairy free.
This place is fantastic! It was a busy and very hot day and yet the staff were still really friendly, happy to help, had a great system in place to deal with all the customers and long queues were moving quickly.
The food is really good. Great varied menu. Very much a cafe menu rather than restaurant, but a good one. Great chips, one portion is enough for two to share if on a budget, I had the Chicken Caesar wrap and it was lovely, really generous filling. You can tell how a place feels about food by the kind of side salad they put together. No wet lettuce and sad watery tomatoes here, the salad was fresh and crispy and even had some pickles in. My only criticism would be that the pickled cabbage was a little harsh. Sweeten up that pickling liquor a little and this place would be nearly faultless. Would definitely recommend
Nice place to walk by the stream, paths in many directions. I took a break here to eat something and drink good coffee. Nice rest in the midst of nature. Good food at affordable prices. There are also toilets on site.
Gorgeous walks by the side of the stream but the cafe near the dam was a hidden gem. Absolutely phenomenal food and very reasonably priced for such a little cafe. What a find !!! Would highly recommend !!!

First time going to Forge Dam Cafe as a end point to our walk. Great place for a wide variety of food, beverages and icecream. Any one of these can be enjoyed with beautiful surroundings and nature.
Staff are perlite, friendly and very helpful.
Excellent experience overall.
Very nice cafe, homemade tomato soup and a roll. Sat outside with the dogs next to the river.
