Costa Coffee

This is one of many busy Costa branches in the town centre. It's had a refurb since I had last been in, which is admittedly a while ago. Due to the time of day wasn't too busy, service was attentive and friendly, food was nice enough, Costa does need to up it's coffee game compared with other chains imho. Shop was tidy and it was easy to get a table, read my paper and so on. Enjoyed my visit.

2023 Update at the bottom. This Costa is housed in a nice old building opposite the Peace Gardens in the centre of Sheffield. You get an extensive range of drinks and food along with coffee beans, cups and coffee flavourings etc. The staff have always been good and there is seating upstairs and downstairs. The reason for 3 stars is that the store is really in need of refurbishment. You only have to look around to see it. Also it can feel somewhat dark inside, so attention to that would be a good idea. If you can overlook some of the wear and tear, it's a nice coffee shop in a nice location with the usual Costs offerings. This store has now had an extensive refurbishment, and it is better for it. I have upped the stars to reflect the new surroundings.

I visited about two weeks ago. Upon entry, I suddenly felt very sick and had to make a quick exit for an uncontrolled bout of sickness. I was overwhelmed and had to, unfortunately, make use of some bushes next to the shop. A member of the team must have seen me immediately leave and be sick and as I was struggling to clean my face up, they arrived with water and napkins - a much needed and appreciated gesture. It would have easy to just ignore me or reasonable not to notice. But, that team member did, and I was extremely grateful they did. I didn't catch her name - but thank you.

Friendly greeting greeted me on my arrival, I needed my morning coffee, my cappuccino was expertly put together with care, I used my reusable cup, you get double points on the app and being kind to our planet. All areas are clean and tidy and table are cleared quickly. Location is within beautiful historic building
