A touristy cafe next to the Palace, so expect touristy price and crowd during peak season.
We visited during the morning and only tried their fish soup and iced latte, with the fish soup far exceeding expectations. It was not only substantial, but came with generous amount of seafood such as mussels, clams, shrimps and fish meat. Enough for two people to share.
The service was also warm and friendly, though you'll have to order at the counter.
Our only gripe was the bees flying around you, which may not be up for the restaurant to control, but would still disrupt the eating experience.
There are both indoor and outdoor seating, so it's up to you to decide. Not a bad place for a meal if there's no crowd, though we do not know how's the standard like with crowd.
Nice cafe with good, but slightly on the expensive side dishes. We had the shrimp sandwich as well as a very nice goat cheese salad, and the kids ate pancakes. Worth calling out the deserts - we ate them so quick barely managed to take the picture 🤪 recommend to walk in the gardens of the palace after!
I loved this place ! You have several range of local pastries to taste and the waiters there are so nice, professional and helpful !
I felt such a good energy in this peaceful place !
You can enjoy a good coffee and I recommend their Pecan Pie ! It’s really good !
Also thank you for the beautiful and yummy Cappuccino !
You have a big terrace outside to enjoy the sun and the coffee shop is located at the entrance of the palace and it garden !
Toilets are super clean by the way !
I recommend this coffee shop to have a beautiful break after your visit !
Oh also, I LOVED the tulips and orchids there !
I am actually having the beef bourguignon and flavour wise is not bad, taste a bit artificial to be honest but I had literally 2 pieces of beef and 20 carrots, hence the 3 stars. Nice place but…
Can recommend the place. Very nice and friendly staff. Tasty voffels. Young waitresses working nonstop to keep tables tidy.
Tried the place for fika on Easter day. The place was very busy, but it didn't take too long to order and get our stuff. The outdoor seating area is very nice and has lots of tables. The cake variety is great, the cakes were quite ok and the coffee was good. The prices are rather high, but quite understandable given the location. I wouldn't go out of my way to get here, but it's a nice place to have a quick bite if you're in the area anyway.

Nice place to have coffee or tea or take a lunch (don't know if dinner is available). Almost in front of the palace, near the parking lot (install easy park app) and with view on the waterfront. If you arrive by boat you also can't miss it
Restaurant Karamellan, located next to the Royal Castle Drottningholm is always our favourite place.
The restaurant's cozy ambiance perfectly complements its picturesque location next to the Royal Castle. It offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal choice for a relaxed lunch.
The standout dish at Restaurant Karamellan, for me, was their tasty fish soup.
If you're visiting the Royal Castle Drottningholm and looking for a place to have lunch or fika, Restaurant Karamellan is an excellent choice
A bit overprice for a lunch, but understandable due to the location. The seafood soup is pretty flavorful, the leek added together with the onion brings out the aroma more. Had a chat with one of the staff and he was really kind and friendly.
Nice, cozy and lovely place to have lunch or just hang out having Fika. Prices are bit higher but hey, it's in the Drottningholm palace area, so we have no prob with that. Burger was so tasty. The kid's meal spaghetti was delicious. Desserts are quite nice too. Plus point is the surrounding. You can buy souvenirs of palace as well here.
