It's a fabulous Wetherspoons, in a historical old building. Spacious and welcoming, clean and well run. The food was good. On top of all that... It's actually on the tram stop platform, so you can get home without getting wet!
What can you say! A pub with its very own tram stop ! Marvellous, and very nicely run, staff were pleasant and interior very clean and interesting having been a swimming pool previously ! Had very nice curry, although our poor Queen died whilst we were eating it ! Had 2 visits whilst up there and both were good . 👍

Me and my friend had a relaxing experience drinking at this pub, which is lit up by glorious chandeliers! The bar has a well-organized layout of the drinks and glasses, accompanied by Easter decorations that were a nice addition, notably the chicks. Using a pitcher to share our cocktail at a table was enjoyable, with the drink having a gorgeous taste! The seating is comfortable and the water machine worked efficiently, displaying different labels for cold or hot to be specific.
We popped in for a coffee or two each. My wife also had a bacon sarnie. Staff and customers friendly. Service quick. Only problem, as with all 'spoons, only white bread. When will they offer brown bread.
Very quiet on the Friday evening I visited (24/9/21).
I had a beer and chicken wings. Wings cooked properly and the usual good quality sauce. Beer was fine.
Been past loads of times but this was the first time in. Hard to believe it used to be a swimming pool. Service was good and a very big outdoor area allowed us to take advantage of the lovely weather. Only slight downside was the plastic glasses but understand why due to the Arctic Monkeys concert later that day.
Nice and clean Spoons, didn't eat so assumed food is good. Nice selection of cheap drinks and toilets were clean and I didn't need crampons to get to them. Quiet and lacking in atmosphere but this is what some people like.
I love this place. Not a cosy pub but airy and spacious. Great range of beers. Ideal to meet and chat without having to shout. I have fond memories of visiting the place as a kid, when it was still a local pool.
A good range of cheap beer but interior looking a bit tired. Tram stop right outside and bus station across the street.
