Food was lovely! Our server Louise was amazing!! So helpful and so kind towards myself and the residents who came today.l from a care home in Sheffield. I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Crosspool Tavernās carvery, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely divine, with a wide selection of perfectly cooked meats and mouthwatering sides that left me wanting more. But what truly set this dining experience apart was the impeccable service provided by the staff. Every member of the team was incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of fantastic. In particular, I must commend Rob, who, despite seeming new, displayed a level of professionalism and warmth that truly impressed me. His dedication to ensuring that every guest felt welcome and well taken care of speaks volumes about his commitment to excellence. I have no doubt that Rob will become a valued asset to the team at The Crosspool Tavern. Overall, I cannot recommend this carvery enough ā five stars all the way!
Food was nice, although server could have bee a bit more generous when carving, my āsliceā of gammon was just bits. I paid extra for pigs in blankets and wish I hadnāt bothered. They had obviously been sat under the lights for too long and were tough as old boots. On another note the guy who checked our booking and showed us to our table, although friendly, looked like he needed a good bath and his jeans were hanging down by his knees, which didnāt give the right first impression.
Yummy food at a reasonable price. Pleasant staff especially Jenny at the cash counter and table service plus Richard the chef who did engage in conversation. No one is hurried to leave and plenty of food regularly topped up.

Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere, one of my party may have been a bit loud but it was laughter if anything else. Thank you to Jenny who totally understand us women having a catch up and laugh over a carvery. We will be back š
Fantastic place for food and service, been at the crosspool tavern multiple times and every time the service and food is top tier.
I love Jenny and Andy who are always service with a smile. We have been round with our rugby league and without hesitation made sure everyone felt comfortable all night long with fantastic roast potatoes for everyone to dig into.
