George's Steak Pit

We celebrated our wedding anniversary in style! Our server Jennifer took great care of us. My husband enjoyed the New York Strip, french fries (very thick) and French Onion Soup. I started with a delicious salad with homemade blue cheese dressing. My Prime Rib and baked potato were cooked perfectly! We highly recommend!

Place has changed ownership and apparently doesn't care if they keep customers or not. Table of 5 and a$430 ticket. 2 of us our steaks were ordered med. Rare and were well done. One ordered prime rib, med rare and it was well done. French onion soup was so salty, you could not eat. Service was terrible. After waiting a hour and half for our food, after telling the waitress, all our meats, were cooked well done, she said, they could cook us another but had no idea how long it woukd be. We said, here you can have them back, please just take off our ticket, she refused and said they cannot do that. This use to be a awesome place but as I said, the new owners apparently do not care.

Very disappointed tonight. We had a party of 14. We had to return 2 of the Ahi tuna orders. One was well overcooked, to the point that it was burned and was chewy like rubber. The other came out and still was frozen in the middle. All of us that ordered steaks agreed that none tasted like they used to. They all were very basic. Not like the original George's we are used to.

I dined here with friends to celebrate a wedding. It was great. The filet was cooked to perfection. Anyone who dines here must try the Creme Brulee. Best I have ever had and I was surprised as I have eaten at some very nice restaurants in big cities and this beats those hands down. This place is a real gem!

We got there early (4:30) to beat the crowd. We were the first ones to be seated. We were highly impressed with the atmosphere. Real table cloths, table ware set out traditionally, low lights and soft music. Everything you would expect for a high class restaurant. Then the ordering began. The waitress started to take our order. Just as I began to ask a question she suddenly turned and ran shouting something about her beeper. When she eventually came back we were able to order hors d’oeuvres. Then off she went again. About 15 minutes later she quickly dropped of our hors d’oeuvres but ran away before taking the order for our main meal. Others were seated and orders taken but still not ours. Hors d’oeuvres eaten and after waiting patiently, I finally asked another waitress if we could get our order taken and she seemed upset saying something about troubles with the kitchen. Our order was taken about 30 minutes into our visit. Others who had gotten there after us was finishing their meals and leaving. Not long though after we ordered the food came out. (2 ea (remember the order when you get to the price)) 10 oz Prime Rib (which was probably 6 oz steak/2 oz fat ((yes, 8oz)), onion soup and steak fried potatoes. The prime rib had a good flavor but not cooked as ordered and cold. The onion soup (this is the only soup they offered) was the worst I have ever had (served with soggy croutons and had a burnt soy sauce taste). The fries were hot but undercooked.The previous delight of the atmosphere was now filled with frantic waitresses. After suffering though the experience we finally had to get up and go to the register for our ticket, $103,78 without tip (1 beer was ordered, no other drinks). If this is the experience you want I recommend it. Who knows, you may get the service of those that arrived after us and maybe their food choice was better than ours (but their salad didn’t look any better. Maybe try the baked potato. Good luck
