Visited here on a Friday afternoon, it was relatively quiet and only a few other patrons in the establishment. The service was quick, efficient and professional. We ordered a hummus and a couple of mains. We were first served complimentary fresh and hot Turkish bread with a couple of different sauces. Hummus arrived promptly and had a good texture and the freshly baked bread went fantastically well with the hummus. Shortly after both mains were set on the table and any extra plates were removed. I ordered a lamb sheesh with rice. The lamb was succulent and tasty, however the rice wasn't great, seemed quite soggy and definitely not the kind of rice I'm accustomed to from Turkish restaurants. Other than that, the salad was fresh and the portion size was good. My friend who was dining with me had ordered a chicken sheesh with chips. I must say the chips were brilliant and I should have ordered the chips instead of rice. Overall a good experience and the price is reasonable compared to places in and around London. I am not sure how they compare to other places in and around Birmingham.

been a bit skeptical bc of a few bad reviews. i ordered it for collection whilst i was shopping at morrisons across the road. it was prepared in less than 15 minutes & i got a phone call to remind me to collect my order. everything tasted beautifully fresh. a lot of people trying turkish cuisine complain of the lack of spices, but you honestly don’t need your tongue on fire for something to taste good. the herbs and flavours used in the lamb casserole were so rich and flavourful, the rice was cooked perfectly and so was the bread. would for sure eat from here again!!!

Today had a visit with my friends in Istanbul Restaurant Sheldon that offers a vibrate taste with its authentic menu. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with intricate Turkish decor and friendly and swift service that makes you feel right at home. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, making it a great value for an immersive culinary experience. Whether you're new to Turkish cuisine or a seasoned aficionado, Istanbul Restaurant Sheldon is a must-visit for a delicious, amazing and satisfying meal. Would love to come again and recommend othere too. Keep it up guys👍

This restaurant seems can be paid by cash only. Their food quality is really good, except the dessert is abit too sweet to me. Most of the Kebab restaurants would be full of oily smells at the ambient but they get a really good ventilation here therefore you need not to worry about getting unpleasant smell on your clothes after meal.

So I headed to Birmingham to see a friend for the day. Thought I’d try some Turkish, Lebanese, Mediterranean, and found this spot! What a lovely place to meet and eat good food. My only issue was that it is dark and needs a little love. New decor to brighten the place up, would tempt more people to attend. I had a mix grill for one which me and my friend shared. The meat was tender, the lamb donor had flavour, chicken was good. Not a shish kebab fan, so don’t want to mark down. Didn’t try it. The ribs were soft. The rice cooked nicely The humus with lamb!!! You have to try this! Love it!! The staff are kind and lovely! Doesn’t take card only cash! Annoying when ur fighting to pay the bill 🫣

Really nice spot for shawarma. Opted for the mix shawarma with chips, good price for a big portion. Came with Turkish bread, salad and sauces separately which I didn’t even ask for. Very nice people working there, even showed me the prices on the till to say they charging me the right price. Shawarma was freshly cut in front of you, very tasty, no hard bits as some places have them. Bread was very nice, first time trying it, fresh salad and tasty sauces.

Love this restaurant! The atmosphere is always great along with the service, food is always bang on. Love the little starters they give for free - bread and dips. Always so fresh. We got sjuck for starters which aren’t bad and for mains we got chicken Iskender. We wanted a mix of chicken and meat but meat ran out which was quite sad! But chicken was just as good! Fresh salad served alongside and also a choice of chips or rice. Would recommend to try the food deffo. We tend to get takeaway and are never disappointed tbh but sitting it everything’s extra warm and yummy! Also order early and go maybe before 7pm as the sharwama tends to be gone by 8/9pm!

Although this wasn't my first visit, but this was the first time I went there with a large group of 35+ people. Saturday evening, the restaurant was packed. Food was served on time, but couple of items were a little bit under cooked. It was a hot summer evening. The air conditions weren't working - so I can't say it was a very relaxing experience.

Was driving by and noticed this place. Did a U turn at the lights and managed to park right outside, result! Parking only 1 hour only tho in the daytime. Ordered a sharing platter for £30 and a few drinks. Nice and clean interior. Friendly staff and top notch food. Very pleased and will definitely come back again if in the manor.
