Visited at lunchtime. Staff and other customers were welcoming and friendly. Most of the tables were booked up and, after eating, we understood why! Food was really tasty and well cooked and excellent value for money. Could have easily stayed all afternoon but unfortunately had to get back to the car!
What a super little pub. It was recommended to us by a lovely groundskeeper we chatted to by Alfred's Tower. Unfortunately there was no food being served when we visited, but we had a drink and some snacks. The landlady was very friendly …
Went in on a Friday night and it was heaving. Very big queues at the bar. Seems nice, too busy to check the place out properly. Mens toilets were horrendous. Great vibe though, and the pints were cold. Would go again.
Spot on pub. Great beer, good quality, reasonably priced food. Couldn't be better.
A wonderful older type pub setting. Food was excellent, recommend the quiche with salad. A very popular pub so must book in advance for eating. Lovely staff. Unfortunately no car park but don’t let that put you off.
Nice tap room. Good beer. Didnt try the food but looked amazing and the price was low
