Came here on the first day of our holiday. Service was quick, friendly & efficient. Food tasted great, was cooked & seasoned perfectly. Fish tasted fresh & the batter not too greasy. Tried to order here on the last day of our holiday, but they'd sold out.
Would highly recommend & will definitely have our fish & chips from here on our next visit to Sheringham.
great fish and chips the cod was cooked perfectly with a light crispy batter, and the chips were golden clouds of wonderfulness, all cooked fresh to order , will definitely be going back
Expected it to be average, but i'm impressed, chips were really nice and crispy, not at all greasy. Cod again was not greasy, cripsy batter and a decent size.

We always enjoy the fish and chips at Straits, and many other options are available (burgers etc). Admittedly, with lots of competition locally, a bad shop would soon fail in this seaside town. But we think Straits still has the edge, with good portion sizes, crispy batter and chips, and friendly staff. There is no seating, so it's take-away only.
Best fish I have tasted for ages. Light crispy batter and lovely white cod. Friendly staff. Reccomended.
Just had THE BEST fish and chips, cod bites and chips and a burger and chips order this evening. Great quality burger; chips were crispy and well cooked; and the batter on the fish was super crispy, I don’t think I’ve ever had better!
Excellent fish and chips. Very tasty curry sauce. Give you a numbered ticket with your order. 15 minute wait on a Sunday evening, but well worth the wait.
The best takeaway fish and chips I've ever tasted! They were prepared while we waited and cooked (in vegetable oil) beautifully - fish delicious and batter light and crisp.
This is possibly the best fish and chips in the country. If anyone comes to the UK looking to try this traditional food then go here and order a cod and chips. I can promise you won't be disappointed.
Just had cod and chips (hubby had batter sos and chips) and it was really delicious so good we nearly went back for more
