Minh's Chinese

On a work trip for a week and having not eaten since breakfast, a quick sandwich wasn't going to do anything for me tonight so I popped into Minhs. It was just after opening time so very quiet but filling up as I left so I can't really review the atmosphere. That said, the background music wasn't too loud and the restaurant itself was clean and well presented. The staff were absolutely lovely but the food was divine. I've been lucky enough to live near to fantastic Chinese restaurants for most of my life but where I am now, they are in short supply. A nice wanton soup with plenty of dumplings, a pork lettuce wrap (which I haven't had for years) that was pure joy and egg fried rice that was light, fresh and not at all greasy. The piece de resistance however was the salt and pepper fillet steak. Not too spicy with the lightest batter and the steak was so soft and tender that I was in seventh heaven. If ever I'm in Shifnal again, I'll be popping in for my evening meal. It really was stunning.

I haven't been here for about 7 years, I think the last time i came the food wasn't great. I thought I'd give it one more try so took my family there on Tuesday night, the food was magnificent. The service was great as well. I had hot and sour soup followed by filet steak Szechuan. Great food, superb service, I'll be coming back soon for sure.
