A decent little French style bistro in Saltaire. The inside is cosy and welcoming and the staff were really nice.
The menu is quite diverse, with lots of classic French or French-influenced dishes. Randomly also a lot of burgers (although the Mexican one was delicious I was told).
I had the French onion soup which was really authentic. We also shared a baked Camembert (always a good idea).
The confit duck was ok, a bit dry and the whole dish was a bit underwhelming. The slow cooked beef was really nice and had a good depth.
The cured pork belly with star anise was really nicely cooked.
Unique set up with kitchen in a trailer, funky wooden sheds to eat in as well as picnic benches, and oldies playing on a speaker. Not sure what they'll do in winter but it worked really well on the sunny day we visited. Food was very good, I had a tasty bacon and cheese burger, fries and Kinder bueno Milkshake. Thought the burger was priced ok, at £10 (although coleslaw should be included for that), but the milkshake was overpriced at 5. I'm not sure it used ice-cream, as it was a bit thin, prefer it thicker and the kinder didn't really come through. Also this Google listing has taken the previous reviews for the Terrace, which is now closed. I know it's the same people but it's a bit misleading to keep all the reviews for a place that doesn't exist anymore.
Never eaten from here before, checked the reviews and 3.5k+ Facebook follows. The food was great, the portion sizes were good, tasty, everything was seperately packaged and packaged very well. Will definitely be ordering again.
