I was very surprised to find this local cuisine within shipton on Avon, it was very nice & clean...& the staff.... Were very advising in within what we wanted to ... I would recommend this place to anyone who visits shipton on Avon . So please go & see.....
Good Average Curry House. Perfectly acceptable - but not Birmingham city standard.
Friendly OK food. Cheap too
Probably not the best Indian in the World - but reasonably priced, and certainly acceptable. Service never less than friendly. Remember to bring your own alcohol.
It's the only Balti in the village which can be a bit of a worry but fear not as we had a good meal here. The initial impression wasn't great, the room was very cold and in different stages of refurbishment. It should be OK when completed.
I was aware that the service was a little stretched between the restaurant and the take away trade but it wasn't really a problem for us. The waiter (owner) did a great single handed job.
The menu is the familiar "traditional" Bangladeshi offering. Unfortunately I made the very rare mistake of opting for the Shorisha, as I was advised it was flavoursome. To be fair the mustard oil did clear my sinuses. The wife's Balti was pleasant enough and the sides were very good. .
The prices are surprisingly competitive considering the location and lack of competition. What was also very surprising is that it's unlicensed and you can take your own alcohol. I am thinking this is a rarity in the Cotswolds.
Parking could be a bit of a problem.
Food was amazing. Had Number 17 with coconut rice. Bring your own drink. With poppadoms under £20 a head. Will be back.
Brilliant find - small cosy restaurant with great service. I got a takeout which was delicious and my guests all agreed. I've been all over the UK and the food holds it's own against anything in Leicester or Brum. Fantastic hidden gem - I will certainly have them on speed dial.

Great food at a reasonable price, not stingy with portions.
Delivery was much quicker than just eat quoted. Food was lovely. Generous portion size.
Ordered a lamb ticks balti, and keema naan for collection. Food was lovely, will be back thanks 👌
Food and service was good. One staff in particular was a bit miserable.
Always lovely food. Friendly service.
Our "go to" when we need an Indian meal fix. Eat in or take-out, the food is first class and the staff are lovely. Prices are sensible, especially in this tourist trap area where, quite frankly, prices can be ridiculous. They do collection & delivery. Delivery in a certain radius. Can't comment on the delivery service as we're outside that radius. The only reason I've taken one star away is because sometimes, when you order a take-out, you arrive at the time given to collect but find yourself waiting quite a bit longer for the food. It's a bit of a pain but we love the food, so it's something we accept might happen occasionally. Well worth a try, but don't blame me if you're hooked!
Delicious food good service, very clean and good prices
