Incredible food, friendly staff and great atmosphere.
Our server was Jenson and he was able to explain all the dishes to us and was very persuasive in getting us to try new things!
Would definitely recommend for any occasion.
Had tasty hyderabadi dum chicken biryani and lamb biryani from here. Staff and service are excellent
Dosa specialists are hard to find and Ruchie doesn't disappoint. Great, tasty street food in a minimalist setting. I'll come again to try the curries
Superb Dosa’s and extremely good curries. The lamb curry on the bone was delightful and super tasty. A great place full of very well made South Indian dishes.
Came here for a family meal. Came early as have seen it busy here before. First impressions with the layout was very nice. Staff were very friendly. Ordered drinks, which didn't take long at all. Didn't need to wait long for the food we ordered, however the staff were kind enough to say it will be a little while due to what we ordered. But I didn't feel it took long at all. The food itself was really nice. There are many places I've been to that have said they have South Indian cuisines, but the food here was different. It had an authenticity about it. The flavour, the spice factor, the presentation all perfect. This place feels like my regular after the first visit 👌🏽
Ruchie is an Authentic "South Indian" restaurant in Birmingham. The food is really fantastic, the flavors are spot on and I still keep thinking about the food because it's served just like how it is in south India . Lovely host and the service was fast . Would definitely visit again .
South Indian, food.Excellent standard of service and food.
Delicious rice.
I went for my birthday dinner and food was really delicious. Good place for Indian food.
Indian restaurants across Birmingham look over your shoulder, Ruchie is here to help you see the way forward in Indian cuisine excellence.
The food experience was sublime.
I had a lunchtime meeting with colleagues. I was running late. It's easy to find. On the main road. Parking can be difficult but here are a few side roads to park on. Lovely decor. Spiral staircase is a lovely feature. Not sure if there was adequate facilities for people with disabilities as the toilet was upstairs. I ordered a Chicken Curry Meal. It was quiet so the service was fast. The waiter was friendly. When the food arrived the portion size was good. The use of curry leaves and coconut milk is common in South Indian cooking and it had a good kick with the spices.
The only problem I had was the amount of ceramics that was used to serve the meal. I mean 4 bowls and1 plate is a little excessive for me as it reminded me of an airline meal. I know places like to try different ways of serving food but it needn't be complicated.
