Nice tapas/small plates menu midweek. A la carte at weekend. Large restaurant and small outside seating. Friendly staff but decor needs a makeover

Nice atmosphere, service was friendly and welcoming. The food was good quality and will be happy to return. We decided to fo for a 3 course deal, which was good value and far superior to pub grub.

Recently visited for a work lunch with a colleague and was very impressed. The interior was clean and well decorated throughout and the lady who served us was friendly and attentive. My colleague and I both thought that the food was excellent, we enjoyed two courses and a pint of beer each for under £50 including service which was a very fair price for the experience. Looking forward to returning.

We visited for Sunday lunch and had the pleasure of some live jazz music to accompany our mealtime. The good servings were very generous, so there was no space for dessert! Service was good, and food came out quickly. Would recommend to others. Thank you

Very nice special 3 course menu. There is plenty of choice on the al la carte menu, including a range of steaks. Full range of drinks including a draught lager. Nice ambience, friendly proprietor.

Food was good although we all felt a tad pricey, for instance £3.25 for a mini jar of peppercorn sauce for one's steak. Steak cooked well (medium/rare). A bit quiet for a big restaurant, but we 6 were there Saturday night and Eurovision was on TV that night. Went straight to mains but 45 mins before food arrived seemed long as only 2 other couples there, but I'm sure they will say to ensure good food well cooked, which it was. They have a lunch time menu that is more appropriately priced, we thought, mistakenly we thought we were attending for that price, but the menu clearly informed us we had made a boo boo. Would go again but perhaps for lunch. Cost: £252 with one bottle of house, 2 prosecco & 2 cokes. With desserts but as I said no starters, this is an honest review and we don't think the food will disappoint.

Popped in to Chambers for late lunch/ early dinner on Coronation weekend (Sunday). The place was calm and the staff were very welcoming. I was unsure whether to have linguine spaghetti or a roast dinner and went for roast lamb. It was impeccable. The meat, the vegetables, the potatoes, everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Sometimes with roast dinners you’ll have mostly all good and one or two things that aren’t great but this was splendid. I would go as far to say, this was the best roast I’ve ever had. Kudos to the chef and staff as we will definitely be returning.

This was the first time we've been to Chambers Bistro, and it didn't disappoint. We had an early dinner at 6 pm and were surprised how busy it was that early. Very warm welcome and very friendly and professional staff. The food was amazing, I had the steak and seafood main, which was very tasty. I've added a photo of part of the wine list because I recommend the sauvignon blanc. I would definitely recommend Chambers, and you have to check out all the funky wallpaper. Oh, and my wife said the cheese platter was incredible.
