We stopped in yesterday at short notice after ringing to say there were 15 of us would they be able to accommodate us and this was no problem. After spending a poignant day scattering our darling mothers ashes in the sea at Brighton, our family enjoyed a wonderful meal and desserts here. The service was efficient and we didn't have to wait very long. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Would recommend the Swiss Cottage and we will definitely be returning on our yearly pilgrimage to pay our respects to our mum. Thankyou. X

What a bunch of happy customers we are after our first time at the Swiss, would love to say the manager was super friendly and was helping out everywhere, the waitresses and front of house staff were honestly incredible and couldn’t ask for a better service. Now the food, honestly was mouth watering, so much flavour great punctuality and just piping hot, fresh and just amazing. Everything since walking through the door we were made to feel welcome. The view of the lake was just so calming and such a happy environment. Would come here again and would highly recommend the food!! High quality!!
Great parking area and also we’re great with fitting to any requirements as had a few questions but wasn’t needed to order anything with any food intolerance but they don’t rush you or push you out in any ways.
Honestly great local pub and will be going back many times after.
Lovely pub/restaurant, good place for a group of people ,ie celebrating a birthday . Good variety on menu, food could have been a wee bit hotter, but was ok.Value fir money. Outside area ,very impressive play area for children lots of outside seating and tables ,perfect in summer. Best bit for us was the big pond, you can buy food over the counter and feed the Ducks and fish so amusing.

We took our twins to celebrate their 18th birthday and sat at 17:00
Straight away the girls were very attentive and professional in everything they did. My wife suffers with very bad anxiety but the nice girls, the comforting atmosphere and cosy surroundings (not to mention the large wine spritzer) helped to put her at ease.
We all had a starter, chicken strips, salt & pepper squid and we also had a huge nacho sharing bowl which was very nice indeed. For our mains we had Scampi, a couple of chicken burgers and a beef burger. These were served very quickly and piping hot. I'm afraid to say our eyes may have been bigger than our tummies as we did leave a few chips but we couldn't leave the burgers or Scampi. Very tasty.
I was looking forward to a dessert but I'm afraid I couldn't find the room but I would have gone for the cheesecake which looked amazing.
We don't eat out very often and we were looking forward to this rare treat since we booked a couple of weeks previously (also a very easy process) and everyone had a lovely time, full tummies and we got to look at the ducks and fish in the pond while we ate.
A great night, a fantastic meal and superb staff. Highly recommended.

Great pub with a friendly atmosphere. Food was great & the staff were friendly. They used the app to order the food & the service was fast & friendly.
Came here again for the second time with friends. The staff were freindly and the food, as usual, was excellent. The service was fast and this time we had to order at the bar as the Pub was busy. Later on we had table service when we ordered dessert. The place was clean and tidy and the toilets were clean too. Overall a good experience. 👍🍺🍹😁
Enjoyed the food, as there were a few options for dairyfree. It was good to sit near the pond which had lots of large fish and ducks so pleasant surroundings while eating.
Well we first tried to call the waterside but no response, turned up for a evening meal at 7.30pm, to be told they are not serving food tonight because they have had a busy day.
We then went to the Swiss cottage Well we were greeted by the landlord's wife who explained there was an hour wait for food maybe less, some dishes were limited. What a fantastic evening we had service was amazing and food was great, a couple of errors but rectified with a professional manner definitely be returning 😀

Had a lovely meal today - the sharing nachos were really very good - proper nachos and a good size portion for sharing. We had Korean chicken burger - yummy sticky chicken full of flavour and chicken thighs with pineapple with a zingy chilli and lime sauce. The pace of service was good, gave us time to chat and catch up rather than rushing us through our meal and out. Staff smiled, worked hard and looked after a lot of people today - very well done Dani and team.
Food was very tasty and big servings. Very child freindly, my granddaughter loved the ducks on the pond and the climbing frame and slide was a good size for toddlers.
Nice venue and staff. Our food came out hot and quickly. Only lose one star because our drinks were a bit flat. Had a Strongbow Dark Fruit and a Coke Zero.
