Really great lunch, very accommodating, myself, wife and 2 young kids. Couldn't fault the service.
Was concerned it might be, "a local pub for local people" and we'd feel unwelcome, but it was so far from that! All staff were so welcoming, food was fab and all reasonably priced!

What can I say. Fantastic welcome. Amazing service. Food was absolutely delicious (compliments to the chef). We had 3 roast dinners (lamb) and The Rose & Crown burger. This is a beautiful pub in the most beautiful surroundings. We will most definitely come back (and soon).
It's many years since I'd visited this pub, but we'd driven past quite a lot lately, so decided to drop in for lunch. There was a very friendly greeting, and we were offered the choice of outside, or in the restaurant (we opted for the latter).

Stopped for an unplanned lunch during a nice local walk. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the fish and chips was excellent. Everything was fresh, well cooked and generously portioned. Dessert was the same. The pub takes their Covid restrictions seriously but we were still made to feel safe

Very nice pub, beams, fireplace and all that other cosy stuff. The two young men serving when we visited were very good. Attentive, cheerful and polite. The food was great, very simple traditional pub food. According to my wife the wine was nice and so was my draft beer. Would definitely go again
What an absolute treasure this place is. Going out for Sunday lunch we were let down by a previous booking and came across The Rose and Crown at Shorne. Warm friendly staff. Wonderful characterful pub. The BEST roast beef dinner. Just about had room for puddding so delicious. Definitely recommend.

Very nice friendly pub with good quality bitter and food.
However, having paid cash for my first round I was very disappointed to find it on my bill, (which I didn't check when paying my tab). Had a quick glance when I went to throw it away when I got home. Done for six quid!
