Wonderful experience, amazing food and equally amazing wine. The service is outstanding and the atmosphere is romantic. I would highly recommend. It was our second time of going but I've said to my husband that I need to be taken here at least once a month, I deserve that! .. I only have 3 very slight niggles.. 1, There was not enough of that delicious plum sauce to go with my huge portion of duck breasts. It was still stunning but that sauce was bloody amazing! 2, I loved the trio of ice cream, the chocolate was very rich and the vanilla complemented it when taken together however, the pumpkin wasn't to my liking.. I think pisstatio or Strawberry or even orange would of been better. I did have a cold though but the pumpkin I couldn't taste. 3, I don't have those amazing oil burners from Austria.. I need them in my life! All in all, a wonderful experience with beautiful hearty Italian meal. You don't leave hungry, plenty of food and a warm welcoming.. I even got a ' happy birthday' from the owner on our arrival. You need to go here! xx Thank you for such a wonderful, memorable and special birthday meal. X

Wow!!! Absolutely amazing food, very tasty and bursting with flavour. I honestly don’t think I’ve enjoyed a meal as much as I just have in a long time. You really are Shrewsbury’s little gem. A very friendly family restaurant that’s outstanding. Highly recommend and looking forward to returning

On arrival the owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. On a Friday and Saturday its a tasting menu. Each course was absolutely delicious. The quantity of everything served was high. A real taste sensation The basil icecream was a beautiful surprise. All areas were spotlessly clean. Service was spot on. Highly recommended restaurant.

It had been a while since I'd dined at La Dolce Vita. I had always enjoyed the food, service and ambience but what a change since my last meal!!!! The taster menu is stupendous, amazing, so flavoursome, tasty, and so tastefully and beautifully presented. The Addagio family's attention to detail is superb with each course being delivered to the table with great pride, knowledge and understanding of all the ingredients. The atmosphere was, as ever, most welcoming, friendly and 'cosey'. A lovely evening - I won't leave so long the next time

Absolutely wonderful. Six course tasting menu accommodating food intolerances was fabulous, other guests were able to have the full works which looked awesome & they fully enjoyed. Booking essential. Definitely recommend. We will be back.

Thank you for a wonderful dining experience on Saturday. The food was sublime and my husband really enjoyed the companion flight of wine. My husband enjoyed the mackerel the most of the first 2 courses whilst I preferred the richness of the asparagus. We both loved the freshness of the pasta and the extravagance of the duck. The deserts were amazing and I simply couldn’t choose between them as to my favourite. The staff were pleasant and knowledgeable and the atmosphere was relaxed. We will definitely be back and I look forward to the new dishes on offer as the menu changes monthly.

Exceptional food. I have eaten taster menus in a lot of places and as a vegetarian I seem to get an array of different takes on the same things... but not here. Each dish was well thought out, extremely tasty and very well executed. I loved the atmosphere. It is small and bejou and intimate. Over all I couldn't fault the food or the wine flight.

My Mum and I really enjoyed everything about La Dolce Vita. We had the 4 course tasting menu; one vegetarian. Every single course was really delicious. Each dish used fresh ingredients and the range of flavours and attention to detail was impressive. Patricia was really lovely and welcoming and explained each dish as it was served. She told us that her son cooks everything and along with husband Luigi they have a great family run restaurant with a modern take on classic Italian food. Yum!

We booked La Dolce Vita for our anniversary dinner and opted the six course taster menu...and it was perfect in every way! This is quite a small, family run, restaurant with only a few tables and, as a result, the service is very personal. Chef presents some of the courses at the table and everything is explained in great detail which adds to the experience. The food is sensational, seasonal and exquisitely prepared so that you can taste every ingredient on the plate. Special mentions have to go to the heritage tomato salad starter that is served with baby basil leaves, a tomato water and frozen mozzarella (more an ice cream actually but literally "summer on a plate") and the strawberries with a cracked black pepper merengue and basil ice cream dessert. However, to choose these above the other 4 courses feels desperately unfair as every dish was insanely delicious. The wine options are fabulous and clearly chosen with great care and the whole setting feels modern and comfortable but very stylishly Italian. We cannot recommend La Dolce Vita enough and will certainly be going back. Many thanks to all of the staff who made our visit so special.
