This is a much improved local pub with good food and friendly service, under new management I had a nice gammon and chips and peas, a crumble, and a large coke for £11.05. At this point in time, that's an incredible bargain! It's neat and tidy, has a pleasant garden, and a good selection of light bites and a main menu, both available lunchtime and for dinner. Support this small pub, especially if you are a local! You will be pleasantly surprised!
Friendly staff, good selection of ales. We both went for the pies, I had steak and ale, my wife had chicken, bacon and leek. Both came with creamy mash and a portion of minted mushy peas, plus a pot of delicious thick gravy. 10/10
We were on route to North Wales so just called in for a coffee and warm up
