This was a fantastic pub for drinking, having a warming vibe! The patterns and lights help create this, counter is well-presented and staff were chill. Me and my friend enjoyed pitchers, sat comfortably at a round table!
Called in while in Shrewsbury. With it not being situated in the centre it's quite easily miss able unless you know its there. It was only the fact that so many people passed the car park we were in, and we wondered why that we investigated. It's not recognisable as a spoons because the building is not the most 'pleasing on the eye' as other spoons but once inside normality is resumed. Lovely interior with plenty of spacious areas. We only had a hot chocolate so didn't dine. Nice atmosphere and staff very busy serving people. Locals obviously know where it is but 'out of owners' like ourselves didn't. Nice cupa though!
The staff were very helpful and great service. No matter where you are, it still is a weatherspoons, but this one has a lot of natural light and smells pleasant. Not too busy and feels great for families, unlike others, which may have heavy drinking. Was in at dinner time.
We had a work lunch here this week and it was quite busy being half term. Service was good although one of our party had to wait longer. To be expected at busy times but the food was good.
Steak club Tuesday was the order of the day, unfortunately when the sirloins came they were not well done but had a pink middle. We asked the very friendly young female manager if they could be put on the grill for slightly longer. She took them away and updated us saying we would get two new steak meals done to our specification but it would take another ten minutes if we were ok to wait, this wasn’t a problem for us. We were constantly updated on the progress and when the steaks arrived they were done perfectly. We found the staff very understanding, helpful, friendly and efficient couldn’t ask for or expect better. Well done.

It was a weatherspoons. Good pint of 49er. Small steak n kidney pie and mash.
Very portion controlled. But then we wanted quick and cheap as we had limited time.
We had to sit outside due to being very busy and there was 15 of us. Not great as in main road. Food and service very good and really great value
This was my second visit. Good service at the bar and varied menu. Vegetarian options as well. I enjoyed my meal. Hopefully I will be back next year.
