The King’s Head …
Some amazing history here. The pub itself looks as old as it is but the real treasure is inside. Take a look at the medieval painting of the last supper on the wall just inside to the right. Some parts of the building used to be an old chapel and this painting probably dates from the 13th century.
Maybe I caught them on in an off day, but inside the pub didn’t live up to the great reviews. It really is a great pub to look at from outside but inside apart from the wonderful old wall painting it’s very tired and not that comfortable. …
Lovely friendly afternoon drink. Clean and tidy. Landlord was very welcoming and helped me select a local ale. Great experience and historic pub.

Great pub. Only complaint is one of the customers who was the opposite side of the pub to me wanted the whole universe to know he was a crafty cockney businessman :). Mildly annoying but not the fault of the pub lol. Well worth a visit, great beer, friendly staff. Still a 10 out of 10.
