Enjoyed a really nice lunch with visiting friends. The service was friendly, attentive and fast. We felt our server actually enjoyed his job! When we informed our server that one of our party had food allergies (a 12 year old) they treated him maturely and spoke / explained to him the ingredients in the dishes he chose. That was a really nice touch, as the young person felt in control and quite grown up.
The food was quite yummy, arrived hot and in generous portion sizes. A lovely experience. Would definitely visit again.

As I’m a total heathen I naturally ordered the platter which has brisket, 3 types of ribs and some other ways of creating meat all amazingly smoked. The chips and tots were also phenomenal.
I’m too full to concentrate too much but I’ll definitely be returning.
Oh and to boot there are some huge TVs and even a cinema room for the kids.
Amazing food, drink and service. Came back here three times today it was that good. Big shout out to the bartender who went extra mile to make sure my Pabst blue ribbon can was ice cold. Cheers!
Great place for some American style meats, greeted immediately on entry and seated in a comfortable place with a view of the chefs in the kitchen. Staff were friendly and attentive and food came quickly. Food was delicious if a little on the pricey side for the portion sizes, however I appreciate the level of time and effort that goes into the meat before it reaches my plate so I can understand how they reach those figures :)
The toilets would have benefitted from some more regular checks however overall were well decorated and clean. Would definitely go again in future and would recommend to anyone wanting a filling late lunch or evening meal.

Huge place, couldn't tell from the outside. Just did a walk in and they accommodated us well. Lovely staff and very friendly and attentive despite the voluminous crowd, it was packed.
Unique ambiance inside and the concept of american food is just nice. service was really fast and price was very reasonable but on top of that is the amazing food with such iconic american barbecue flavors, just unique. definitely coming back. kids loved it a lot
What a restaurant! Such a family friendly place to eat, the staff were fabulous and happy to help and accommodate our needs. The food was out of this world very tasty and good suggestions from serving staff. The cinema was the highlight for the kids.
We had a lovely experience at Hickory’s today! The food was really tasty, the cocktails we had were really delicious, and the staff all seemed lovely too, especially the food runner, Aubrey. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and family, as it is a really nice place to eat in Shrewsbury. Thank you very much, I will be back!
Really good food! Quick service not too busy and nice atmosphere.
The food and service were brilliant, food was cooked to perfection, and tasted amazing. Just what we wanted after a hard day's walking with the dog. That's one of the other great things about this place. Is that dogs are welcome and also looked after.
I highly recommend a visit no matter what time of the day, they have something that would appeal to you to eat.
