We're not vegans / vegetarians but can confidently say we didn't miss anything. The food was truly above & beyond with plenty to choose from. Would definitely recommend paying a visit.
I walked into this vegan restaurant on Friday 7 July with all the skepticism of a carnivorous T-Rex, but I pleasantly surprised! The food was so tasty and full of flavor that I had to double-check if they had secretly sneaked in some meaty magic! The variety of textures kept my taste buds on their toes throughout all three courses.
And let's talk about those cocktails—pure liquid genius! Their homemade syrups took those drinks to a whole new level of deliciousness.
But it wasn't just the food and drinks that won me over; it was the delightful owners. This husband and wife duo are so friendly and attentive that they made the whole experience even more enjoyable, talking us through each course and helping me choose what to choose.
So, here's the bottom line: I'm giving this vegan restaurant a solid 5* rating and you can bet your bacon-loving self that I'll be back for more plant-powered goodness. Who knew eating vegan could be this much fun?
Incredible lunch here today, another stunning vegan find in the heart of Shrewsbury. Beautiful food, every single dish had a little difference that gave them a definitive discovery factor.
Have returned almost every week since writing this initial review and the quality has only gone up! Both the service and the food itself is always astonishing. Care, kindness and all out love from the staff not only in terms of the food, but in terms of the care for their customers, absolutely brilliant. Can't wait to return every time.
We had lunch here and were impressed with the inventive cooking and flavours, a bit harder to pull off when not using meat or nuts in the dishes. Interesting selection of sauces to choose from for the poke bowls. I was misleadingly told the 'green zinger' is not hot, not sure why as it packs a certain punch. Very fun colourful decor with hand painted murals throughout, and a marvellous huge 3D pink octopus breaking out from one wall.
The nut-free satay curry sauce was also impressive, as despite not containing nuts & having a different colour from normal satay sauce it 'tasted the part'.
The highlight was the home-made ice cream though (pictured). Coconut & rum-infused coco nibs flavour this week, it was topped with an amazing miso caramel sauce - it so works, I don't normally even like ice cream.

Loved our meal so much here had to come back twice in one week! We were always greeted with such warmth from staff (Thomas you’re a fab asset to the team!) and the food is something you could not replicate at home. It’s authentic, unique and tasty. Amazing for anyone one who wants to eat yummy food:) 100% vegan and 100% gluten free… we need more places like Kanu poké!
Absolutely superb spot for some lunch. Received a really warm welcome when we arrived, the menu has a great choice of dishes which were fully explained to us. There is also a great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available. The food tasted sublime! Can’t recommend enough! Will be returning to try more dishes!
Vegan restaurants are almost always exceptional, but this was out of this world. Creative dishes, amazing presentations, and super tasty food. Very friendly staff too.
Amazing food! So nice to have a vegan gluten free restaurant making everything Safe to eat for us, made life easier and delicious. They really take pride in the flavours of the food and drinks and so they should. This will be a great regular place for us now. Can't recommend enough
Hidden gem of a vegan place. Food is all gluten and nut free too! Enjoyed the Ch*cken and waffles with maple syrup drizzle. Not had it before but was pleasantly surprised at how tasty the combination was! Will be a go-to place for us in future!
