Went for a anniversary meal and it was busy but they found a lovely spot food was excellent as was the pudding enjoy the photos😊😊
My wife and just turned up we hadn’t booked the staff were so welcoming and got a table so we had lunch at this pub the plough I had gammon egg and chips the wife had beer battered cod and chips we didn’t have to wait long although it was busy
the service was good food was great good value for money definitely worth a visit remember to book as it can be busy
Also we had a pint of beer with the food both with drinks come to £40.60 good value thanks guys see you again soon
When we first went for a Meal/ Function the dirty oil smell from the kitchen was really off putting. But since our last visit as a family catch up that had completely changed.. Much nicer. The food was lovely and definitely go back again.
Food is always really nice. It is best to book a table/pod or you could end up waiting a while for a table to become available.
This was my second visit to the Plough Inn (first at lunch, this time for dinner midweek). Both times with dogs and both times the pub was quite busy. Every time staff were very accommodating and seated us quickly. Staff are really attentive, drinks come quickly, food is good. A really nice pub in a great area for walking the dogs. I would love to hire one of the pods!
Always been a great sirloin steak here , it didn't disappoint, still the best in the area.
We went in as we were passing and hungry. We had a wonderful meal and the staff were so helpful even though it was close to the time limit for lunch. Great place, great food and lovely staff.
The only downside to it was about ten minutes after we got there a few vans pulled up with "contractors" or maybe builders? They spent the next 45 minutes of our time there shouting and swearing telling each other stories of stolen curries and other things. Had children been around it would have been a bit awkward, but being an ex builder, I know the score. I just think it's something that the staff should have dealt with.
Went here on Bank holiday Monday with a friend and we both had the breaded mushrooms with garlic dip to start.Delicious!
We both then had the 10 ounce sirloin steak with chips,onion rings etc and that was very tasty.
Have visited this pub many times over the years and have never had a bad meal.
They were busy because it was the Bank holiday,but despite this,the service was excellent.
Outside at the front of the pub,they now have pods which customers are able to book.
They were all full when we were there,but I would be tempted to book one of these when my friend and I go again (which we definitely will!)
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this pub to all.
It is also child friendly.
We arranged a pensioners Christmas meal and show for 30 people on the 6th December 2022

Went here for a mothers day meal with all my family. Everyone was so happy with the food and thd pod we hired outside thank you. I ordered the mix grill and was outstanding. 👌.
