We’ve eaten here a few times now and I’m glad we have. It’s a pleasant surprise to have a well priced and lovely little gem serving tapas just up the road, something which is in short supply round here! Compared to chain tapas restaurants, El Iberico is very well priced and does generous hearty portions. They have a good selection of drinks and the food is always tasty and far more authentic than some places. Staff are very attentive and look after their customers, and nothing seems too much trouble to them. Even when rushed off their feet, they take the time to look after their customers and aim for top service (which we have always had). The restaurant has a cosy, warm atmosphere and is a lovely little place to visit with friends or family. I’d definitely recommend a visit - it’s worth the price for a local small business.

This cosy, delightful, well established restaurant 'EL IBERICO' ( Mediterranean/ Portuguese 🇵🇹, 🇪🇸 Spanish cuisine)has long been here in my memory ( I've lived in Blackfen for 36 years!) situated at THE OVAL, BLACKFEN, SIDCUP. A very popular 'top rated' restaurant in this area and no surprise how it has thrived for so long. My wife and I only live 5mins walking distance, and we have been here on several special occasions in the past. Our recent visit lived up to fine expectations, 'as always'; the owner one of the very best a restaurant could have - the staff happy to please. The warm attractive decor inside is matched with a Mediterranean taste of music in the background. Every every chair and table were taken, and at its best a jolly atmosphere seemed embraced by the clients. A good restaurant to cater for your friends, family and small party groups. The staff were very busy and on the go, and the excellent food and drink of Mediterranean splendour served are a hallmark of this fine restaurant. Folks, I highly recommend the Monkfish if you love your fish! I've had Monkfish before and very good too, but this main course dish was UNFORGETTABLE in my view. The anchovies were delicious too as the starter. Great value on the varied menu. Overall, an excellent meal and experience enjoyed at our local restaurant my wife and I - and yes, we will definately return. A1, 10/10 rating Thank you. Chris👍

Delightful local restaurant which has been established for many years. Seving traditional tapas plus theres a main menu to choose from. Foods fresh, homemade and delicious. I personally recommend the lamb cutlets, paella and meatballs! Good dry white wine and draught larger. All reasonably priced. Only criticism is the food came up extremely quickly, within 5 mins. next time I would delay ordering to enjoy the evening out a little more. Staff friendly, attentive and professional. Restaurant was very busy. Definitely recommend booking at weekends.

First time we've been despite living a 6 minute walk away, should have been sooner! Tapas was delicious, portions were the perfect size. A little disappointed that there weren't any non-dairy dessert options as I'm lactose intolerant, but also pretty used to that. We went midweek so it was quiet but still good atmosphere and great service from the owner.

Both the quality of food and service were absolutely outstanding! As a couple who've never tried tapas food before we were made to feel incredibly welcome on our first visit, and had everything explained to us. We ordered a selection of dishes and literally every one tasted incredible. Despite it being a Friday night and very busy we were never left waiting and the service was excellent. We will deffo be going back and can't recommend El Iberico highly enough!
