Lovely little independent tea room, exactly what is needed in Roman square. We ordered an all day breakfast and coffees. The cakes looked fantastic too and all served with beautiful antique China cups and saucers.
Everything was lovely and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back and recommending to others.

Sandwich to take away. Made fresh in front of me and surprised how cheap it was. Lovely friendly manager, lovely setting and great 1940's feel.
Just not impressed with the mobile phone being handled mid food preparation and the bread bring placed on the worktop where the phone had been lying without the work surface being wiped. Very unhygienic - especially in these times.

Despite there being 8 of us in the morning with no booking , the ladies did really well , with all of us having something different either added or taken away from the menu ..they did exceptionally well , and the food was just As good .. will definitely pop back at some point ..

Popped in to the Bayleaf again this weekend as was in the area - wow the service was amazing and the portion sizes were such good value for money.
