Bobbing Apple Brewers Fayre

We have just arrived home from a lovely meal for our daughters birthday. I can’t praise a member of your team enough, a lovely young man showed us to our booked table on arrival, we sat down and started deciding what to have, it was very loud and busy as we was seated near the play area, I have no complaint as I understand that’s what it’s there for and the children were having such a great time, however our son is autistic and doesn’t cope well with noisy and overly crowded areas, I asked the young man who I then found out his name is Jason if there was somewhere a little quieter to sit, he moved us immediately to a quieter area and checked on us regularly to see if we was ok, I can’t thank him enough, he is a credit to your team.

Had the carvery....delicious! The service was very good! The only reason Atmosphere got only 3 stars, was because there was no real atmosphere as such, that is generated among your table. In all honesty, I would have given the same score for any of these types of eateries....so it's nothing that the Bobbing Apple have or haven't done. Had a lovely meal, with lovely company and very good service.

In the past this place has always been a bit 'hit or miss' so we haven't been for a while. Today it was a hit!! We sat outside for a while and then moved indoors to eat and there was plenty of spare tables. We ordered a mixed grill, a ploughman's and a kids meal and everything was cooked perfectly. The service was very good and pretty quick. The drinks were also good and my son was more than happy with his refillable coke! There was a nice selection of music being played and at a good level so it helped add a bit of atmosphere. There is a children's play area both indoors and outdoors so if you have young children that is a bonus as it helps to keep them occupied while you relax. All in all a good afternoon.
