Review Skelton Mill - Skelton-in-Cleveland

First visit to Skelton Mill for a bite to eat. It is best if you phone and reserve a table. We chose steak pies and quiche which was just enough to be pleasantly full. The menu selection was varied from main meals to afternoon teas, which looked very good. Will definitely call again. Called again, parmo as good as ever, with the good wife getting an excellent prawn salad. Called again, this time for afternoon tea for two. I joined as a third person and had parmo, chips and salad. Food excellent. For those people who like clamping pods, they are also available at Skelton Mill, I do not know the rates.

Always Enjoy a Lovely Meal with Friendly Staff...Nothing Is too much trouble...1st time we've been in the Bistro part of an Evening & it was a Lovely Atmosphere & Really Cosy!...We usually go for Afternoon Tea here Which I Definitely Recommend aswell!...We Ordered 2xSteak Pie...1x Scampi & 1xParmo...With 1 Glass of Wine 1 Coke & 1 Orange & 1 Tap Water & the price was £71 for the 4 of us!..The Afternoon Teas are Similar where you can order the Parmo/Pie/Quiche/Scampi etc or Traditional with Chips & Coleslaw Tea/Coffee with a Scone & Selection of cakes...We Always come away with a full belly! You can take home a Doggy Bag of what you don't eat also as they will Box it up for you!...This is A Cash Only Service so Remember!...Also they are Closed for Afternoon Teas on a Monday & Tuesday but the Bistro IS Open on the Evenings as they Do Pods & Hot Tubs etc!...Check them out!...They also Host Hen Parties & Birthday Events etc...Give them a Ring to Enquire as they are Really Approachable Hosts & will work something out for you!...They are also Disabled Friendly aswell!...Thanks To Dave/Mandy who looked after us on our last Visit...See you soon! Lovely place to visit. Log cabin was great with jacuzzi. Beautiful view.very friendly staff. I was a little disappointed with the breakfast. You weren't given a choice of what you would like. And it came cold .but the dinner on the night was very nice .so all in all I would go back .

Great little place for afternoon tea, really picturesque and the food is top notch for the price, great staff who can't do enough for ya, took my mother for afternoon tea for her 79th birthday and will probably take her again next year 👍

What an amazing gem of a place. Just got back from a hen do and I can honestly say, that it was brilliant from start to finish. Food was lovely and plentiful. The accommodation was so nicely presented and clean and Dave, made the party flow, with attention to detail and down to earth wit. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed over in the Unice Lodge. It has x1 double bed and x3 single beds, and a dressing table with the kettle on. The toilet and shower room is out of the room to the right next to the hottub, we suggest you take towels as the rooms don't supply them. Also, take your Crocs or flip flops. The artificial grass gets a little soggy when you're out there from the hot tub if you need to access the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious, just what you need after drinking 1 2 many Skittle cocktails. Great service, very helpful and friendly. Would recommend 👌

Brilliant from atriving to leaving.whould recommend to anyone staff were great. Accomadation was first class hot tub was well ...HOT.. mix up with our booking but sorted with ease. Food was great and pricing was excellent.we will be back.

Perfect little corner of paradise. Staff are great food is awesome. There are lodges with hot tub and living caravan type places to stay the night. Children friendly, afternoon tea for two £30 children eat for £1 great little place for a Sunday afternoon treat. Check opening hours as they are not open all day. Play area is great but a little dangerous as the ground full of large/small stones around the pirate ship. Highly recommend by our family. #amazingdayZ #skeltonmill

Lovely surprise 1st time here.. Defo my kinda place.. A beautiful tea room set right in the country side just off the main road. But so retro..lot going on yet set all around the the trees. Camping pods. Looks so cool. The afternoon tea presented very well with an afternoon tea for those that love parmesan and chips. That's a nice twist on a traditional afternoon tea. You deserve a good review. Thank you.

Stayed here for one evening in a chalet with a Hot-Tub as part of a larger party. We all had a great time, the owner & staff were great fun, very welcoming and very accommodating. I give the food a 5 on behalf of the whole party, as I didn't eat anything due to being rather intoxicated, not eating dinner, nor getting up for breakfast 🤣, I did however purchase a cream cake to take home, which was delicious. I would highly recommend a stay here, a beautiful location which wouldn't feel out of place Cumbria way.

Went today for afternoon tea only booked an hour before well what can I say but it’s a hidden gem of a place our afternoon tea was the best I’d ever had all fresh and gorgeous tasting, friendly staff also and the place itself is lovely. Will be back again and the pods look amazing too so an overnight stay is on the cards too, they also have a lovely cocktail bar too which is lovely

Just had the most amazing afternoon tea yet again for a Mother’s Day treat with my lovely daughter Vicki, Mam, sister and niece. I had the traditional afternoon tea and the rest had the Parmo afternoon tea, all served with pot after pot of tea. Everything was so gorgeous and we were so full up, I even managed to take a doggy bag home for my husband ( he was buzzing). My daughter is in a wheelchair and the owner is so accommodating and helpful in seating us in a suitable table. Will defo be back again and I will defo be changing my teabags ( thanks for the advice). Your tea is a proper cuppa �

Place was lovely parmo was unreal, but the staff where absolutely horrendous attitude stunk never made us feel welcome once, we couldn't get into the place because the roads where closed I rang them to see if they knew any other routes there reply was how the hell do we know?? As we where leaving we left £20 deposit and the guy who owned it would not give us it back because he said the throw overs on the bed where a bit wet and he would need to replace them they didn't even provide any towels in the rooms either like a say place is decent but staff are horrible not forgetting on the first night the bloke who owned it decide to "water his plants" while me and my girlfriend where in the hot tub no privacy at all JOKE

Lovely romantic little stay away in one of the new lodges with our own hot tub, so relaxing, it was helped by the owners Dave & Gill.. Very down to earth if there was anything you needed they were always on hand, nothing was a problem very welcoming and relaxing.... We couldn't recommend Skelton mill enough. We will definitely be coming back thank you Dave & Gill... (Breakfast was amazing)

Came here with my five fab friends we had the (parmo) high tea it was lovely as were the staff and venue such a lovely place would highly recommend

First time I have been to Skelton Mill and it won’t be the last. The Parmo Afternoon Tea was Beautiful, the cakes are huge and it is definitely worth the price I wouldn’t of even minded paying a bit more. The staff where lovely and very polite.

My lovely mother organised a hen do with family and friends for me and what an amazing day it was! Could not of asked for a better venue, food or customer service � the owners are absolutely spot on and great fun! Thankyou to you both xx

Came for a spiritual night owner made us all feel very welcome. We were told about the history of the mill which was very interesting. While we were there we all had parmo chips and salad I can honestly say best I've tasted in long while. So I booked afternoon tea for family for my daughters 19th birthday which I'm really looking forward to. Definitely recommend.

Just had my Mams 70th birthday afternoon tea with family and friends it was amazing everyone loved it the food was gorgeous Dave and his staff and wife amazing thank you for making my mams day x
