Amazing pub! The Herschel Arms is like an oasis in a desert of blandness! Walking in the door you can forget that Slough seems dead. The landlord is a warm, welcoming and plain-spoken gentleman who really knows his trade. The atmosphere is of a local pub with regular customers of all ages.
It's cosy, traditional and inexpensive although the landlord often takes the hit on price rises because he really cares about his customers.
If you want to experience what pubs should be like, this is where you need to be.

Absolutely lovely proper pub! Really friendly landlord who looked after our group of friends like we were his family. Six Nations rugby on several TVs, good Guinness, cider and ale and nibbles to keep us going was all any of us could have wanted, perfect. Thank you!

Unique place, the landlord is the most generous guy, wants to make sure everyone has a good time, will give out free shots and let you play what you want on the jukebox! Great atmosphere, I also hear he does great things for the local community!

This pub is friendly and warm with a relaxed atmosphere and great staff. Welcoming to local groups who meet there, the pub landlord supports the creative community by hosting events like The Innerverse. It's the best- thank you!

Great pub with a warm welcome. Friendly staff and the landlord Tom is a diamond. A very charming funny man. Spent a great afternoon catching up with an old friend sinking a few pints of excellent Guinness.

Hands down the best pub in Berkshire. They don't make them like this anymore - such a wonderful place.

A living pub museum curated by Tom the King. Have a pint, have a “cracker” and go home with a belly filled with warmth and your heart filled with wisdom!
