Took my mum for a Sunday roast at The Red Lion today and it was excellant. I couldn't honestly fault anything. The pub restaurant itself is lovely, the staff are courteous and friendly and the meal itself was outstanding. We both had the roast beef and the meat was so tender. The best meal I've had for ages. Highly recommend. A big 'Thank you' to Becky and Axl our waiting staff.

Good little quite pub decent place to catch up with friends
Friendly people most of them are the nurses and doctors who work at the nearby hospital.
Never tried the food so can't really comment on it

My husband had the duo of beef which he said was amazing and I have the poke bowl with halloumi and falafel which was really nice but could be improved. It would be nice if the poke bowl had some beetroot in it and also a little more dressing as the dry coleslaw was a bit of a let down but other than that I enjoyed it. My grandson who is 2 enjoyed his pizza and his chocolate ice-cream for pudding. My husband had the crumble which was a huge and yummy portion, however my blackcurrant mousse was a very small portion which was again disappointing.

Lovely atmosphere, attentive & fast paced server Emily who made the experience stress free, a great drink with the girlies thanks to you. Hats off. Whilst the place was busy, we were still served quickly and the food was delicious. Will be back!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience in this pub. I took my mum for her birthday, and was overwhelmed by how amazing the service was, and this was all due to Shannon, the lovely girl serving us. She went above and beyond to help my birthday surprise and my mum was over the moon. Definitely will come back!

Visited the Red Lion for an evening meal. Got there around 6pm on a Friday and it was fairly quiet. Staff were really friendly and service was excellent. Menu choices were good with something for everyone. We went for the Pork belly and Rotisserie Chicken. Both were good sized portions and very tasty. For dessert we had the Sticky toffee pudding and Summer Pavlova, again very nice indeed. Definitely recommend the Red Lion if you are in the area.

Went for a work dinner with a very large group, which they handled very well. (Shout out to their team because that couldn't have been easy!)
The whole pub was very busy so I would suggest booking in advance.
Food was preordered and quite tasty.
We had some minor issues with the drinks orders as they didn't seem to know their own mocktail menu, but quickly solved.
