Tap & Tandoor

Was looking forward to eating again at the Tap and Tandoor, which has become a regular venue when we visit Solihull, and as ever, we weren’t disappointed - food was absolutely fantastic! Some might find the menu a little limited, but the quality and atmosphere far exceed the need for variation! It looks like a good craft beer selection (I don’t drink, so can’t say much more than that!) - highly recommend!

I have a dilemma , this restaurant deserves fabulous reviews because its food is amazing , the chicken tikka with hot sauce is worth traveling miles and miles for, the drinks menu covers all tastes and the staff have been so well trained and obviously enjoy their roles that nothing is too much trouble. If everyone goes as they should it could be very difficult to get a table! – go and try it this place is outstanding , visited twice last week whilst working at the NEC and absolutely loved it.

Tap and Tandoor has got to be one of my favourite restaurants in Solihull. I find lately that a lot of traditional Indian restaurants are hit and miss with their food depending on the day, however I have never been to a restaurant as consistent as Tap and Tandoor. I live locally so visit for dine in and also get takeaways / deliveries from there and every time it is amazing! Always fresh, hot and packed full of flavour. The star dish for me has got to be their chicken palak, it is divine, full of spinach and lots of spices which gives it a nice kick but it is balanced out with a thick creamy sauce! Also rate their mixed grills and their special naan 😍 so gooey inside with cheese spices and chilli! Service always good and they’re always quick with the food. Price wise I’d say it’s reasonable for the quality of food you are getting, portion sizes are decent too. Highly recommend to anyone that enjoys Indian food!

Had dessert sticky toffee pubbing with chai tea ice cream they at 1st gave me the wrong ice cream but they rectified it as soon as I told them pudding was wonderful and ice cream complimented it perfectly 😋 they own fruit ciders were wonderful as well 👌 spot on in my opinion. Not many ppl in on a Fri early evening to be honest quite surprised considering their prime location. Literally more staff than customers. Otherwise I would definitely recommend this pub as a place for different food and drinks that you won't get anywhere else. An added bonus is you can order your food there as a takeaway which my friend did after we finished drinking but didn't want to stay to eat. Which i think is an brilliant idea or in our case she ordered food to take home for her dad.
