Had lunch in the cafe upstairs, reasonably priced food, good portions and lovely coffee... What really deserves a mention are the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. Not only did the get a complicated order perfect, they took the time to speak to my daughter. I haven't experienced this level of friendly service for a very long time! A special mention to Jayne and Vicky on the till in the cafe, to the lady who brought out the food and the gentleman who brought extra cutlery, everyone was smiling and chatty. Who ever is managing the recruitment for this branch deserves a pat on the back for putting together such a lovely group of people! Well done and we will be back!

First visit to an M and S cafe since March. Was early in the morning, consequently very few customers. However, tables well spaced out, different entry and exit points and as always super friendly and efficient staff. Had a lovely socially distance chat with Helen and Jayne. Both were welcoming and seemed genuinely pleased I'd made the first step out to the cafe. Delicious cappi and toast and half an hour of peace. Bliss! Will definitely not leave it so long. Thank you Helen and Jayne!

Shopping for t-shirts and trousers for my husband, apart from 1 t-shirt that wasn't available in his size, we got everything he needs. We also went into the food section, a few things advertised in the 'dine in' offer weren't available. Store was well organised and made Shopping as pleasant as can be in these difficult times.

Cafe surprisingly good compared with M&S in other places. Very good coffee. Excellent scones and cakes but most of all such lovely, friendly helpful staff. Most customers, like myself, were elderly and they couldn't have been more hekoful eg carrying trays for those who couldn't manage and opening the little jam pots for those of us with arthritic hands. I don't often give 5* but this deserved it.
