Just had an excellent meal. Rib eye steak cooked perfectly and a pork belly special which tasted delicious. Portion sizes absolutely right and excellent presentation. Food & drink prices are excellent. This is a totally undiscovered gem of an eatery particularly given the number of people here on a Saturday night! Get here whilst you still can.
This place is transformed. This pub was a dive for the last few years. Horrid place to go. Now the new owner takes pride in service, food and beer. Have to say, not had a bad meal yet. Staff amazingly helpful. Good wine too as opposed to just stocking cheap stuff. The sort of atmosphere that makes a ‘local’. More than happy and thoroughly recommend. Ignore the futile, immature feedback from people who just want to cause trouble and cant use their real names!
It's Pizza time. Just had a pizza at my favourite pub The Marquis. Good beer, great service. Proper Landlord and landlady. Always a friendly welcome. Did I mention the great Pizza's. Enjoy the atmosphere in the pub or enjoy the weather in the excellent outside areas. If want to have a party, family bash or a wedding theve even got a Marquee. Definitely worth a visit.
Went for a Sunday roast today. They hsd a guest chef in who they said was about to become permanent. It was THE BEST ROAST I've had in years. I believe you get that you pay for and, at £12.35 it's not cheap but I've paid twice that for meals that couldn't hold a candle to today's lunch. The flavours in every element, even down to the veg, were sublime! I had the pork, my wife the beef. I could go into so much detail but I will just say that if you really love your roast dinners and appreciate the highest quality in every detail then you will love it here. Can't wait to return.
The food here is brilliant, nice drinks range and friendly staff. And it has a rare to find sports bar too.
