Darren is the loveliest host and the food is incredible. What an experience, the steak comes slightly seared and seasoned and you just cook it exactly how you like it. Always top quality steak and I’d highly recommend the cheesecake. A large car park makes for easy parking and all the staff have always been polite and attentive. A real pleasure every time.
We popped in here for a light bite on a cycle ride. The pub is fairly unprepossessing from the outside, perhaps in need of a little TLC. However, don't let that put you off. The landlord was absolutely fantastic: a proper village pub landlord! We just had some quiche and fries, but the quiche was homemade with a lovely short pastry (and not a soggy bottom in sight!). It's definitely somewhere I'll be going back to. According to the board outside, Thursday night is pie night. Sounds like a good way to spend a Thursday night if the pies are as nice as the quiche.

Well worth a vist great pub
This place is a like a hidden gem! Well worth the visit. Cant believe i haven't come across this before. Definitely will visit again. Super friendly staff, fresh tasty food that is very reasonably priced. Cannot go wrong. Go visit!!
Booked here for Early Bird Menu. Had Rump steak which you cook yourself on very hot stone. Oh my gosh the Steak was DELICIOUS . Accompanied with chips. onion rings. Mushrooms and tomatoes. Followed by Lemon drizzle cake and ice-cream. Never tasted anything like it absolutely gorgouse. It was the best meal I have had. Cook very obliging and explained different steak cuts. Service was excellent. Was so impressed. Will definitely be going back. Thank-you for a lovely evening.
Not been here for ages but so glad I went tonight. Absolutely delicious steak meal cooked by you on a volcanic stone. Beats the pants of Miller and Carter any time. Great value for money and friendly service too.

Booked a table for 6 of us for Thursday which happened to be Pie Night. We were asked to order from a great selection of homemade pies and they were delicious! One of our party had the rump steak which she really enjoyed.
Friendly helpful staff made it a perfect evening.
