Great pub for live music, friendly staff!! Had a great Saturday night at Noddy's Puncture gig. Prices were reasonable and Guiness was fab!!

A very warm welcome from the staff. Handy for both South Shields and Chichester Metro as well as bus routes from Laygate. A great venue for parties and live bands. Some very good acts appear and gigs are often published well in advance. There is a function room upstairs. A great choice of ales on tap and a selection of soft drinks and spirits. Carvery on a Sunday too.

I love going here for my sunday dinner, relaxed atmosphere with low music (a mixture of genres, decades and artists) staff are always pleasant and attentive. Try the mince and dumplings!
