We'll, what a wonderful dining experience. Incredibly lovely food, great wine and a wonderful waitress, Nina, who looked after us for the entire time we were there.
Thank you so much for making our trip to Southampton so much more memorable.
You can always rely on an amazing meal here, I am a regular and I’m always left satisfied. The best Italian in Southampton. The food is made to a very high standard and is delicious. The staff are so friendly and always remember our favourite choices. They always have plenty of specials as well as the menu. My favourites include the tiramisu which is incredible, the calamari, bruschetta and any seafood pasta. Pictures below from different occasions.
Wonderful restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely: quiet, relaxed, and intimate. The staff are so polite and helpful, they’re attentive without being pushy and there is not sense of being “rushed” while dining which is great. The food is incredible. The menu has plenty of options (not all seafood, some fabulous alternatives) and something to suit plenty of different tastes. It was some of the best food I’ve had in a long time! The quality of the ingredients spoke volumes and nothing was overpowering, it was just beautiful. Presentation was also exceptional. Absolutely would recommend. It isn’t cheap, but certainly worth the money when you see the quality and care gone into it, and considering how wonderful the food was, I would have expected to pay much more. Would love to go back and try more from the menu!
The food is delicious and the daily specials are worth noting down. We ordered the lobster pasta from the specials and it was amazing! Waiters are super attentive and friendly as well. We were sat outside but they constantly came out to ask how we were doing. Highly recommended, worth a visit!
We had a delicious dinner last night at Soleto’s. Everything was cooked perfectly including my filet steak.
I loved the fact they didn’t rush us through the courses, felt like a trip back to proper wining and dining just like it used to be! The chef even came out after our mains and asked us how everything was which was a really nice touch.
Very nice atmosphere in there, music playing softly in the background but not loud at all (nice to not have to shout to your party at the dinner table like other places these days!)
Only slight negative is that we did have to wait a few moments to be seated - despite the fact that when we had arrived there were only a few other couples there and we had booked, it was like that hadn’t anticipated our arrival.
Really good restaurant service and food was outstanding. Definitely recommend
We stumbled across this very stylish and elegant bistro on visiting Southampton. When we arrived the staff were super welcoming and polite, smiling all the way through service. We ordered a few dishes and each one tasted delicious. We were totally impressed, the flavours were devine. Compliments to the chef. The staff also recommend places to visit which we did not know about. They couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Great value for what we had ordered. We will definitely will drive from London for a meal there, it was that good.
Excellent hospitality and gorgeous food! We visited today for the first time, and we were taken by the atmosphere and ambience of the bistro. Very relaxing, romantic, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We had garlic bread, the veal escalopes and rib eye steak mains, and for dessert: tiramisu and chocolate tart. Beautiful flavours and everything cooked to perfection. Cannot fault it, and will definitely be returning!
Discovered this place on our first visit to Southampton and we were delighted! I can't recommend this place highly enough! We received a warm welcome by our waitress Nina who was very friendly and helpful. I ordered king prawn linguine which were delicious, so flavorful and the prawn were perfectly cooked. My partner had the sea bass which he really enjoyed. We also ordered scallops as an appetizer and they were absolutely delicious, just melting in your mouth. And the tiramisu..it was just perfect! The atmosphere was so romantic with the dim lights and the nice decor. We would definitely come back!
A lovely restaurant for fish as well as seafood, but sadly I wasn't hungry enough for calf's liver from their specials but the home-made mushroom ravioli was deliciously warming. The home-made ice cream was also very good. Am now looking for an excuse to return to Southampton so I can bring my partner.
(No hot chocolate though)
