We arrived here on our travels home and was pleased to find they had several seats available, our drinks order was taken quickly but food ordering took much longer and we had to grab the attention of the waitress.
Food was tasty and the wait wasn't too long, the place quickly filled up and unfortunately we were greeted with stress from one member of the public who made my wife feel uncomfortable.

The two young ladies running about serving were brilliant and really friendly. It was one of thems first night working here. They did a great job we had a lovely night and all 4 of us said how nice the food was.

We came here a year ago and had a terrible experience with there being few choices of food and service was lacklustre. What a pleasant surprise it was today to have the polar opposite experience - what a turnaround the restaurant has made. My family and I have just had a wonderful breakfast here. The hot food was all freshly cooked, was replenished constantly and above all tasted delicious and is fantastic value for money. The staff were all lovely too - very pleasant and helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to visit again!
I've dined here for the last three days as working away from home, the food and service has been exceptional. I can honestly not fault anything. The fillet steak was the best steak I have ever had, and I eat a lot of steak when dining out! It was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection! The serving staff have perfected the balance of preempting their customers needs, with one staff member noticing I had finished my drink before my main meal had arrived (I was very thirsty) so had put another one through for me. The breakfasts have been fresh and well stocked, which anyone who has stayed in a Premier inn knows can be hit and miss! I don't have to travel to this part of the country often for work, and that's such a shame. On my final day, they also allowed me to work from their bar area, giving me a quiet spot so i could attend an online meeting with some privacy having had to check out at the premier inn. Can't recommend this place enough! Home from home ♡
Our waitress whose name is Jane was amazing, the pub had staff missing but Jane handled all that came her way. The meal was average but again was made up for by waiting staff. Toilets(ladles) was under par and our saviour was at hand to put things right-,well done. Will try at a later date to see how things are.
I really like it here. And great value for money compared to others.
Only reason why I scored it 4 out of 5 is because there never seems to be a rush on for eggs. Happy to Make you wait. (I come every Wednesday nearly, always the same)

Been there first time and it was a pleasant visit. Food was tasty and fresh, staff helpful and polite. It must be popular place as within an hour from the opening it was packed with customers. Will definitely come again.
We stayed at the Premier Inn on the same site, and this pub is where your included meals were served. It's a large pub with seating on various levels and a few tables outside too. A lot of choice on the menu for for the evening meal. Great food. The staff worked very hard to keep up with demand and they were all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet with an excellent choice of food on offer. Very clean and tidy with a welcoming atmosphere.

Sat around the bar area for food. Nice style of pub the staff were friendly and polite. Bit of a wait at the bar with only One person serving but not to bad. Food was great tasting and looked amazing. The portion sizes was a bit small in our opinion.
Overall I would come again.
Lovely place, and very good value lunch menu, Food delicious and plentiful. Service was OK but a couple of mistakes, hence only 3 stars. However friendly helpful staff, will definitely go again.
