The Cowherds - Southampton - Photo album

I come here as it's a half way point to meet family. Each and every time the food has been exceptional. Warm, delicious and worth the money. We treated ourselves to pudding this time, and so glad we did. They too were absolutely amazing. The staff are always friendly, polite and quick with orders. W
Lovely spontaneous Sunday lunch! Warm welcoming and very attentive service from Luke! Trio roast was incredible! Everything was delicious and a great value for money! Will defo be returning
Went for a Sunday lunch and Luke was our server. The food was very nice for the price and the atmosphere was lovely. It was very busy and people were definitely enjoying it!
We had a really lovely lunch here today and wonderful service from a very smiley and attentive young girl called Leonor. She couldn't have done enough for us and every request was met with a smile and efficiency. She is worth her weight in gold. Lunch was delicious as always. Thank you so much!
Been here several times and it never disappoints! Food is great and it’s a really nice atmosphere inside! Highly recommend!!
Quiet, cosy and our server Luke was really helpful good knowledge of food and serves with a smile. Food was lovely and the sister tried the sorbet with the pork belly only thing she couldn’t get her head around was the difference in temperatures 🤣 other than that really lovely meal as always
Valentine's Day meal! We came to a valentine's Day meal with a three year old and a six month old baby ! Must be mad right? We have dined at the Cowherds multiple times and always been looked after so well we didn't worry about it at all We were greeted and our booking was confirmed before being o
First time visiting, waited a least 10 minutes for a waitress but then decided to order via the App which was easy enough, food was OK although main took a while to be bought out, good selection on menu, would return again for food and drink
The staff were so helpful, kind and courteous. The food was exceptional and the atmosphere was lovely. We are all looking forward to coming again and hopefully booking to eat here at Christmas.
My partner and I came on a busy Sunday after booking in advance. The food (roast beef and a burger) was great and arrived quickly. Our server Luke was lovely, handling us and many other tables simultaneously with a friendly and personable manner- having worked in service I can say that Luke is a har
I requested a table away from the main drag which was nicer than the last time I visited. Waitress competent, informative and helpful. Drinks were good, elderflower cordial. Food beetroot wrap was nice, salad not very interesting, but a better meal than last time I visited.
I have visited many times but I am amazed I have never left a review! I really enjoy this pub. I love the history it’s seeped in. The food is great too. It’s traditional pub food. Only tiny issue is that parking could be a bit tricky.
Had not been to the cowherds for many years but was pleasantly surprised. Considering how busy the place was on valentines day lunchtime, the food arrived quickly served by our very personable and professional waiter Terry. Good food and pleasant staff, what more can you ask for? Many thanks
The food was delicious!! But always check with the salads though... my salad was missing 3 ingredients! Other than that everything else was delicious. And staff was very friendly.
Nice and cozy place! Food is really tasty!
What a little gem.. food was so nice, we couldn’t fault anything. Our server Terry was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Super efficient and provided excellent service. It was really busy but there was no wait. We will definitely be back.
Food was good as was the service but layout of tables needs attention. Where we were sitting we overlooked a table of 6. The young man at that table got a really nice watch for the occasion
