The Brisket and St Louis Pork Ribs were delicious - beautifully cooked with an incredible flavour. We had the Platter as we wanted to try a selection of the different meats on offer. If we went back we wouldn't do this again, but would specifically order these.
I can imagine the burgers will be tasty.
The Mozzarella Sticks were the best ones we've ever had because they were so homemade and real!!
Our server, Tiago, was attentive and friendly and seemed to be the only staff member that had any form of uniform on. (Red Dog T-Shirt) We felt the staff weren't really dressed appropriately and it was hard to work out who were customers and who were staff.
We shared a Texas Platter which had:
Beef Brisket,
St Louis Pork Ribs,
Pulled Pork,
Hot Links Sausage,
Mozzarella Sticks,
Mac & Cheese
Black Pudding
Beans side
A most excellent dinning experience from the meet and greet to the service and food!
Now, a word about the food…. Simply amazing, if your a meat lover try dinning here. I have been several times and tried several different started and mains. One word of caution, don’t get carried away ordering… you will have to eat it!!
Highly recommend.
They also accept the Blue Light Card.
I would gladly recommend this place. The food is really good - we were a group of 5 and we had burgers, nachos, chicken wings and chicken popcorn, followed by desserts.
The only downside to our experience was the loud music as we could hardly communicate between us.
Food was great and the service was a bit slow. We had to ask for our cutlery and sauces. A bit of proactivity would go a long way!
First time here, been to a few burger restaurants in the past but this tops any of them! Best burger I've ever had! 10/10 would reccomend and am planning to go again.
You go for the messy American style food, not the fine dining experience. The burgers are very good, plenty to choose from and often quite large given all the extras they cram in. The dirty fries are ok, the mac and cheese is below average. You may see on the menu there is a hot wings challenge, it’s quite famous given you have to sign a health and safety waiver prior to attempting it - this is for good reason. My tip is ask them for a pot of the hot sauce used on the wings, so you can dip a chip in it before deciding to do the challenge, you’ll know from that test alone if your able to handle it. Everything is else is as you would expect it to be, fried food from the states. The milkshakes are pretty special too.
I enjoyed the food a lot at Red Dog Saloon, it was a Saturday night so very busy and I didn't really book in advance so I'm glad they found a table for us.
I have to say that, considering this is a chain, the food is very good however the prices... Especially for a place outside London, where you would expect higher prices, they were definitely too high for what given.
A bit of a shame that burgers does not include a side, it would be more appreciated! Let's be honest, a bouch of fries don't cost anything and you would make customers wanting to come back.
Dessert... Overpriced too, considering that they don't seem to be made fresh.
Service was caring but a bit confusing.
I was a bit surprised by the type of customers... I would also recommend to check the toilets more often, I've seen things that should not happen in a restaurant!
Loved this place!! Booked a table which was definitely a good idea as a busy place! Our server was great - very helpful gave great suggestions and recommendations. Service was fantastic. Ordered the burger with bacon, black pudding and peanut butter - a new combination but so delicious- highly recommend and will be trying again! Cocktails were yummy too.
1st time going to Red Dog Saloon. Went for date night to try a restaurant we hadn't been to before. The food was amazing. Staff asked how you wanted your burgers cooked. There is no meal options so you have to purchase items separately. Staff were friendly & helpful. Didn't feel rushed. The atmosphere was great. Loved the feel of the restaurant. One thing I would say though is the music was very loud. We visited on a Sunday evening, not too busy which was great. I struggled to hear my husband sometimes with the music level. But absolutely loved the food. I ordered the peanut butter burger & was not disappointed. Was very happy with the amount of fries you get as a side order & the onion rings were perfectly cooked. I just think £60 for 2 burgers, 2 fries & onion rings is a little pricey. There is a 10% service charge added no matter what size party you are. Other places only add this if you are a party of say 6 or more. There was 2 of us, thought that was a little cheeky. But cannot fault the food & service. Just don't know if we'd go back. Other places do similar food at a better price. But we had a great date night.
Best burger w/pulled pork I've ever had in my life. The pork tasted as if someone from my state of SC smoked it. A must if you like American style BBQ!
Some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. The burger was amazing. They didn’t have a lot of chicken burger choices as it was mainly beef for the burgers even though they were happy to swap out for chicken. I got the Sando and was very happy with my choice. Chicken was the perfect amount of crispy and the sauce and coleslaw weren’t overpowering. We also ordered the fried pickles and jalapeños with mozzarella sticks as a starter which was ok, nothing to write home about. A tray of chicken called ‘the whole coup’ which had some of the best fried chicken I have had. The tenders and wings in the tray were decent, would have preferred the tenders to be crispier. Finally, we had to get a side of buffalo wings with fries. The buffalo wings were great, some of the best I've had. Service was excellent and very helpful.
