Well cooked while-u-wait cod-&-chips, although the fish was just a little greasy. It needed just a little longer to drain. Friendly, pleasant service at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
I suspect that in this location surrounded by the Mayflower Theatre and other venues this chippy will prosper when the lockdown finally ends. It deserves to do well.
June 2022 repeat review. Sadly, I've given up on this outlet. Quality when open is as good as ever, but opening times are unpredictable. I've lost count of the number of wasted journeys made to find it closed despite the website or Google Maps saying they are open.

Possibly the best fish and chips we've ever had! Beautiful piece of cod and haddock in thin and crispy batter with home-made tartare sauce and mushy pies and well cooked chips. Fryer Jim told us he was a former chef and it shows. Lovely service, too. What a gem of a place.

Best I have had in the UK (ever not just this trip). You can appreciate the attention to detail and quality with almost all products being made fresh and all meals showing where they are sourced.

The staff was really warm, the place was spotless and the food was fantastic! Great portion on a medium cod piece, and the small chip portion was big enough for two! Thoroughly recommend it. Beware, eating in is usually not available after about 8pm.

Get yourself a seafood basket and chips!! Here for the weekend from the Midlands and this is the best fish and chips I've ever had ! Perfect chips, great fish and the staff are very friendly and have a smile on their face. Highly recommended and if I'm ever back in Southampton, I will definitely be eating here !

Absolutely we'll deserved 5 stars 🌟 for Anna and Jim who served today me and my husband. We don't felt we eat just fish and chips. Anna and Jim asked us if all is fine and if we like it. Portions was huge and tasty. Really recommend it. I will back for sure !

Nice staff, because of the restrictions in place, you have to wait outside. They seemed to be busy but I was leaving with my order in less than 10min. Food was qood, tasty however the fish was bit greasy. Portion of medium chips was bigger than expected. Overall it worth the money.

Friends recommend this place to us and we finally had some takeaway yesterday. Very impressed with the chips, and the fish was fantastic! 100% will get again!
