We had a learning how to make Sushi class at yo sushi In West quay in Southampton for my friends birthday. It was brilliant and I loved it. It lasted 1 hour 40 mins. We had food and drink at no extra cost. We made our own sushi to take home, which is not easy but was so much fun. It was £29:95 per person and totally worth it.. We had a man called Simon did ours last Saturday and he was so lovely and listened to all our questions and is very good at his job. He also taught us the way to cut the salmon and about the knifes. In the photos you can see what I did and took home.
The only thing I would change would be to make one with salmon, not crab as it's very strong smell and harder to make. I think you pay enough to be able to make salmon sushi. It's also a favourite of mine so disappointed to not have made it.

Very nice Japanese Eatery in WestQuay Mall. We were happy with the service. The food was good although they can do better in my opinion.

This is a very busy Yo but the manager/guy in charge booked us a table and we waited for it to become available. I had a 9 Yr old and a 2 Yr old and our table was perfect with a space for the buggy. The food as usual was excellent and arrived quickly. I only wish this outlet was bigger. Full marks to all the staff.

Great staff and great food.
This was our first time trying yo sushi, the service speed is insane, they have a conveyer belt set up that brings the food direct to your table. There are plenty of staff in the kitchen and on cleanup, they are easily reachable if you need assistance.
We ordered through the app and found it very easy and straight forward.
Felt a little strange ordering fries at a sushi place.. But they were insane! There is some kind of sauce they put in the fries that tastes amazing! Def reccomend it!
Went 2 days in a row because it was such a nice place! Didn't book either time, but if you're thinking of going on a weekend I'd reccomend to book. (you have to book at least 24 hours in advanced)

Just want to say a huge thank you to a front staff bigger guy who is extremly nice and polite and have been working under preassure a lot today as the system was not working. He definietly deserve a voucher or some reward for his hard work.

Dave is an amazing manager. As regulars he's always made us feel welcome and all our needs are seen to immediately. He's very understanding when it comes to preferences like being veggie and he's an amazing host. The foo dis always great no matter if it's on the belt or from the chefs themselves. I completely recommend.

Beautiful, fresh food. Order on your phone. Very quick service. Friendly staff and team. Loads of veggie and vegan options. Downside is your sat in a noisy shopping centre opposite the escalator, so people stare at you on the way up. Quite procey too!

I was recommended by a friend to try their spicy seafood ramen on a last minute dinner invitation. Since that time, I've always ordered the same ramen every time I return. Unfortunately, my visit yesterday I was told the head chef was on holiday as he normally makes its for me. It was good, but not as good as his! Hopefully he won't be away for too long as I'm looking forward to his ramen again soon!

Went for a birthday lunch - the COVID19 arrangements were explained and the ordering process and paying on-line was easy to use and worked well. The light system showing when our food was ready was a bit hit and miss, but didn't detract from the meal. Food was hot, enjoyable (depending on your tastes of course!)... personally the korean Street chicken is a winner😋

The staff were attentive but were VERY in demand as the WiFi had gone down and no-one could order via the app. I do find it bizarre that this is the main way of ordering now at YO! Sushi. Myself and two boys were looked after very well though and the food was lovely as always. There was disappointment when we realised the YO!nuts were out of stock for my one son but he was able go find something else go enjoy.
I'm unsure where the brand itself is trying to take itself though as it seems so far from what it used to be and it's almost lost it's appeal which is such a shame as it was always such fun to go to YO!

Love this place the food is amazing, when we've been the wheelchair space is usually empty so no waiting time. You can't book a table it's line up and wait.
The food is gorgouse, so tasty my favourite would have to be the Crunchy California Roll 😋. Been many times and usually it's the same staff we meet each time, cheerful and happy, there always willing to help if you don't understand or need to order somthing new.
The way the food is made can be a bit difficult to reach from your wheelchair as it's to high and to far away, I would love to be able to grab the food myself.
Toilets are the main west quay ones, so no problem there as long as no line.

I saw a lot of chain restaurants and they were MC Donald's , Pizza Hut , Pizza Express , Nandos and American Diner apart from the food aspect there were a lot of shops to go shopping It was an absolutely fantastic place for shopping for friends and family.

Dave the front of house manager here is outstanding, we had a slight issue with dish and he dealt with it brilliantly . The food is as standard but this is the type of customer service that encourages a return visit !

I’ve coming here every weekend since they’d opened back in my uni years. I’ve returned to visit the city after many years and was so awesome to see yo sushi is still there with amazing customer service and cooks! Thank you ;)

Always consistently great food. Always friendly staff, always delicious! One small tip, the spicy squid needs to be cut smaller so that the batter is crispier on every piece. Large chewy squid is never as enjoyable as small lovely battered pieces. Other than that, this is our favourite Yo sushi!

Lovely food and helpful staff. Could do with some more tables for larger families tho
Sushi 🍣 is delicious, my whole family very much enjoyed the experience of watching their meals whizz past them 😂👍

Always great food and always great staff, it’s part of our Southampton shopping ritual

Lovely food, good staff, but they did get our order wrong twice, even though it was corrected on the computerised ordering pad twice! So we had quite a wait yesterday. You beat pen and paper to take an order!

I visited Yo Sushi, West Quay for lunch with my sister today. I asked if her food allergies were a problem and were looked after very well. Our waitress took us through the allergies, looked up ingredients, helped us order and made sure the food was all ok for my sister. Thank you Kate for looking after us so well. X

Visit on 22nd May. The food was great but there was a more pressing issue, one that shocked and appalled my friends and I. The staff obviously were unaware of the importance of this date and what was supposed to happen at 14.30, despite the two tannoy announcements from West Quay. Whilst the entire shopping centre came to a standstill to remember the victims of the horrific Manchester attack last year, your staff carried on like nothing was happening. If it weren’t for them clearing plates and glasses from tables, you could have heard a pin drop. We found this to be disrespectful and ignorant of the feelings of others. Yo Sushi had a responsibility to ensure their employees were aware of the minutes silence. If this was the case, why wasn’t it respected?
