My husband and i held our wedding reception at Romsey Golf Club 3 weeks ago. It was fantastic, some of our guests even said it was the best reception they had been too! When we first contacted RGC a year in advance, we were planning this with Rach (who went on maternity and we were passed onto Kath.) Both ladies were incredibly helpful and wanted to give us the best day possible. Their communication was spot on, we never had to chase them and never did we have any concerns about anything at all. We cant thank everyone enough for all the hard work they put in to make it right. Kath sorted our table plan board, place cards, she set out all the linens, chair covers, sashes, the list just goes on! The golf club members themselves were also very lovely, we had many congratulations and compliments considering we were stepping on their toes. There was also compliment after compliment on the food, so a big thank you to the kitchen staff. Our DJ was hired through them, the catering was done by them, our drapes and up lighters were arranged by them, the LED dance floor was done by them! On top of all that... our wedding photos turned out beautiful, the venue and the grounds are just spectacular. If you need a venue for you wedding reception, you'd be missing out if you dont use them. Thank you to all the staff, who were there that night/night before and the lead up, we truly cant thank you all enough.
Unfortunately the weather once again won the day , started raining on the 1st green. The sun came out near the end, this is the 5th time I have played Romsey and it rained every time. The course has some fantastic holes , because of the weather we did not see the the course at its best. The staff and members were vert friendly and welcoming. The meal was excellent. Hopefully the next time the weather might be as good as the food.
Very friendly, breakfast was brilliant, just the thing to have bfore a game of golf. Considering the weather over the last few weeks the course was in reasonable condition. It is a lovely parkland course although a little hilly in places. You don't have to be the longest hitters as accuracy is more important. A worth while visit.
Had an away day here (society do). Course was in good condition, club house is okay and bacon baps and coffee ☕ very nice.
Stopped off for food and drinks. Clubhouse very welcoming to non members. Didn't play golf this time. Sat outside watching golfers finish.
Went here for a roast dinner had to book top quality food for very reasonable prices main roast is a calvery so could help yourself to as much as you wanted best calvery I've had in ages with a prawn cocktail starter and Belgium waffle fresh raspberries and raspberries sauce with cream for dessert 3 course meal for £17.50 well worth the money highly recommend
The Wylye valley golf society had a fanrastic day yesterday greens excellent and the course is great fun
Mark and his team gave splendid service and we certainly recommend the bacon butty.
To all players a must visit
Stunning course. The scorecard makes it look an easy 18 hole course, but it is far from it.
Accurate tee shots are a must with some clever tree positions catching you out.
Greens narrow but in a great condition and rewards to be had for hitting the pin.
Really helpful staff. Good quality food and very inexpensive prices. Would recommend.
Used to be a member love the layout of the course. The club house has a great atmosphere and food is excellent. Only thing that let's the down is the some closures in the winter months as course suffers from drainage but that seems to be norm for most courses in Hampshire when it rains hard
