Old fashioned place off the beaten track frequented by down to earth locals and the Landlady was friendly enough Only stopped for a quick pint but I have no reason not to go back there when I’m next in the area

Great pub. The landlady & landlord were very welcoming & friendly. Good value drinks. More of a traditional old style pub which we prefer.

I had a bike accident and ended up injuring my leg. I went to the Anchor pub and the lady was very helpful in helping me cleaning it up and given me enough bandages to stop the bleeding.

Friendly little pub both landlord and landlady, and customers, basic pub but sometimes we want that traditional old pub atmosphere!

Great local pub with the kind of character you don’t get in big or chain pubs, no grief or hassle and everyone is friendly.

Nice traditional pub on the edge of a residential area. Good drink, good prices and no silly frills. Good carpark, good outside space with tables and seating.

Always a warm welcome and a happy atmosphere. Large gardens and car park. The home of the only RAOB lodge in Southampton. Definitely worth a visit.
