Popped in to get portion of chips & fish cake, reasonably priced. Chips & the fish cake were hot & tasted good aswell, friendly staff behind the counter also
This was recommended by a fellow boater on the Hamble. So glad he did. Excellent. Small queue outside but thats always a good sign. I will definately be a regular customer.
This is the first place that comes to mind when we can’t be asked to cook. Always great food, always friendly service! I couldn’t fault them.
Was able to deal with a large order placed at short notice. Staff were friendly and helpful in getting it all packaged up and sorted!
Best fried fish in the area, I tried them for the first time today and I am already in love. I had the haddock twice, slightly battered!! My go to place from now. Great customer service.
Definitely the best chippie l have ever been to, and that hight standard has been maintained throughout my time in Park Gate, some 13 years. The chips are always excellent, crisp on the outside and well cooked inside and the haddock is a winner. The serving staff are young, efficient and friendly an
Great place to go for a great fish and chips
Generally good fish and chips, but occasionally the chips will be a bit pale or the fish greasy. Very popular in the area compared to other such businesses.
A fantastic local village chip shop, everything cooked fresh to order, finest local cod, haddock and plaice, friendly staff and great food.
Fish is properly cooked, chips are obviously cut and peeled here and everything is fresh and tasty. The cooking oil is the best... obviously you don't get that quality of flavour and such a good result without a lot of experience and effort. Great place for fish and chips *****
Best chippy in the South. Lovely fish, chips cooked properly and the staff are great. Thanks guys. It's a huge 👍from me.
Very good chippy. Friendly staff would highly recommend.
Excellent fish and chips - well prepared and always tastes really fresh - not like some chippies where it tastes like the oil is a week old. Portions are enormous - we often can't finish them. We keep our boat in the marina just down the hill and everyone here goes to The Plaice on the Green for sup
Best fish and chips in the area. We get a large haddock (always freshly cooked) and large chips between us- and rarely finish it. Chips are beautifully cooked and batter on fish is lovely- a sow is great for us and great when family are down as they are so efficient and grow sky there. Highly recomm
This review relates to experiences some months ago. We had returned from a birdwatching experience at Warsash and were famished, arriving at this place just as it was about to close. Unable to cook what we wanted, we made do with the leftovers in the hot cabinet which included pea fritter, sausage i
One of best fish and chips I ever had. I live few miles of this place but is worth to travel. High quality. Really recommend.
