Great location as very close to where we live. Place looked clean and tidy. Friendly member of staff at the bar. Ordered food and drink and both were good. The men's toilet could do with some maintenance (cracked mirror and broken toilet).

Personally I think it's the most underrated food pub in Southampton. The roasts are amazing- AND HUUUGE! We now get one adult and one child roast to feed me, wife and 3 year old! And we still don't finish it. Pastas were beautiful too (but request no onions if you're not keen on them like me as they tend to add them to pasta dishes?) but they BANG! Cocktails are great!! (wray rum punch 👌) and are usually 2 for £10. Staff are sound too!! Lady with red hair and inked up barman (sorry don't know names) are great and make great cocktails.

The lady in tonight with the redish hair (that knew what we was drinking) is by far the best cocktail maker ever!! So so polite and accommodating as well. Food was amazing!! Didn’t expect everything to be as good as what it was if I’m being honest. Both myself and my partner agreed we would definitely be coming back (especially as we like a stones throw away. Regret not coming sooner!! Highly recommend this woman for any kind of cocktail and the chef for the great food!! Thank you

I had a mixed roast and it was delicious Really good size for the money Very friendly and welcoming staff with fresh decor and dog friendly as well I'll definitely be going again and would recommend if you're in the area

Have visited a few times now with my partner, love the cocktails especially the long island iced tea. Food is lovely and staff are friendly. Always has a lovely atmosphere and feels welcoming :)

Best food I've experienced in Southampton. Much more than your usual pub grub, this place delivers a high standard of food and presentation. Don't let the laid back pub style appearance turn you away, The Winston has a fantastic menu, and quality of food difficult to find in Southampton. In my opinion this is the best bang for your buck in Hampshire.
